Not as bad as yours but the same just happened to my wife's car, very blatantly car door smacking hers. It's a shitty feeling seeing something like that and being powerless to hold anyone accountable to it.

    People suck.
I have a ding lower bedside between rear tire and bumper thanks to some moron and his Home Depot cart.
Paint is not broken but the edge of the dent catches the body crease.
PDR guy said it's do-able, but he never showed back up.
Been like that a couple years. I really should find another PDR guy.

Unfortunate that the step couldn't protect it.

I got a phone call from the credit union Wednesday. My Tacoma loan is paid off. I thought it was April, but that's fine. They needed to confirm my mail address so they can send the title along.

I bought it used during Covid (June 2020) and got a reasonably good deal as the dealerships were just starting to reopen. The banks were for the most part still closed, so I ended up going through the dealer at a higher than ideal interest rate.

Fast forward to April 2021 and my credit union was offering 1.8% financing to customers with good credit. I drove right over and filled out the paperwork. At that rate I was in no rush to pay the loan off.

It's nice not to have that payment, but we're going to put that to towards the principal on my wife's 2020 RAV4 to speed that along.

Got one in the wife's car during our Florida trip while parked at jobangles. Very clearly a careless door ding. Pretty big. Luckily I don't care much about the car.

Absolutely. The fact they checked it and walked away is mind-blowing.

I’m so mad the paint is cracked or else I’d much prefer a PDR repair.

Absolutely, it’s gotta be a back door or a carriage.

    I wish I didn’t care about my truck, but I do. A lot, actually. I probably shouldn’t as it’s a daily, but I do.

I literally drove around trying to find the best spot away from everything, thought I left all the room, etc etc. I always park away from everyone and it still gets me. I’ll get it repaired, but after having to get my bumper redone after the initial repair I’m a bit gunshy on repairs right now.

So annoying. That’s what insurance is for, I suppose. I was planning on replacing my rear driver side flare anyways as it was deforming so this is probably a good time to do everything.

I think kbb says her car is worth like 6k on a good day. If it was the truck I'd be pissed. It's funny to have a luxury vehicle that was originally an msrp of almost 3x the truck but is worth like 1/3rd what the truck is lol

And this is why I hate people. Windy day or not, someone had to have known they did this. I'm still steamed about last year having the bill for her Rav4 that someone ran up the side of.

Just read “Pitch Dark”, another great Mike Bowditch crime novel, by Paul Doiron. The setting is northern Maine woods, in the area of greater Jackman.
    I highly recommend it.

Anybody have a better parts list diagram than what I've found relating to UCAs? I've found the bolts and washers but still need the nut for the bolt and the nut for the ball joint. Planning to go back to my stock UCAs

    O'Reilly's Any thoughts? Good/bad?

    caliper.png

It looks like the PowerStop, calipers from RockAuto don't come with any corrosion protection unless you get the red powder coated ones, unless I'm reading that wrong.
When I did my front end refresh on Friday I noticed that the L/F caliper took a little effort to remove, a sign of a stuck piston.
I bought the front calipers from NAPA and it took a week and a half to get the correct L/F caliper. I don't want to go through that again.

I was wondering why I had an intermittent brake shimmy.

The oem ones don't have any protection either if I remember correctly

My original set lasted like 7 or 8 years I think. So I went oem again.
