I used to hold that opinion, but I also lived on 4th street.. looking back I regret leaving and wish I was back there now, just living on a different street.. NV is a beautiful state and hopefully stays underrated.

Tiny towns in eastern CA will plays be my number one dream because that's home, but arrow creek is right behind it (if I ever become rich)

Yeah true. There are a ton of hidden gems in Nevada and it’s still easy to get out and be alone. Just sucks because the Sierras are so close and like you I have a ton of memories from childhood.

 

I know this is a Toyota site but does anyone local have a spare Jeep wheel and tire I could buy off them for cheap? My trailer uses a Jeep lug pattern and I need a spare for it. I was also thinking about trying to get an adapter so I could just use my Tacoma spare too.

 

Where are you all insuring your trucks? Just got hit with a 35% increase on the premium for the Tacoma and I don't have any accidents or tickets. In the past 10 years I've had 2 windshield claims and that's it.

 

We use State Farm have seen similar increases.

 

About 25% increase from Geico for 3 vehicles. Inflation is real. lol

 

Even with 2,000 fewer miles per year, I got a major increase from Geico last month.

 

My policy renews with Progressive this month(14 years with them) and the renewal docs came in and show an increase across the board totaling about 10% on my policy vs the last 6mo. The previous 2 renewals have had similar increases. I even called to check why the increases were hitting my policies on my last renewal and adjusted coverages a bit on my vehicles to try and help a little. No claims, good credit, etc. Just seems like the cost of vehicles and the cost to repair vehicles is going up, plus there are too many uninsured drivers so the responsible people end up taking the hit for all the other losers driving without coverage.

 

I'm with USAA and it's been creeping up, roughly 20%.

 

I was unaware inflation was 35%...if I had to guess it's more about profits than inflation.

@RelentlessFab, the uninsured coverage is about 40% of my total premium now. Looking back it was closer to 25% when we added it to our policy in 2015.

If I were king I'd crush the vehicles that are unlicensed/n insured instead of whatever minimal punishment we currently have in place.

 

When I was in CA a stolen motorcycle crashed into me, guy had no license to drive a car let alone a motorcycle. His punishment was $60k from my insurance after he called some lawyer to get money for his injuries even though he was 100% at fault.
My full coverage denied me a penny for truck repairs that I’m still dealing with 2 years later.
very much would like to see uninsured cars crushed in front of there owner, and given a fee for the crushing and disposal.

"We're" giving people licenses and free rein, somebody's gonna pay. That means YOU that pay your bills.

 

I shop every year because whoever I’m using always jacks rates up after the first year. Right now using Liberty Mutual and just renewed with a very small increase.

 

Decided I'd celebrate turning 40 soon and pair it with a midlife crisis to get it over with at the same time.

Yeah, so about that. I'm still putting the sliders on, but as you can see, I now have a jeep. You can't blame me, you did the same thing with your gladiators!
