Yeah... as a federal employee I'm unfortunately too aware of what's going on. I just didn't go there because I don't want it to sound political and break forum rules.

 

I mean it’s current events, I wouldn’t call it political to state what’s happening.

 

I shipped an ASUS rog handheld thing I won at our work Christmas party to my brother. He had a TDY scheduled two weeks out but I figured it would arrive before then if I shipped it priority. Nope... it arrived like a week after he left and is just sitting in his mailbox now.

I've seen stuff shipping all over the place to hubs that don't make sense like you're talking about too.

The weirdest thing about that is, all those logistical decisions should be automated and optimized to the nth degree. I always wonder what causes the oddball behavior we see.

Best guess is that it boils down to wanting to run fewer trucks or spend less on air cargo, so the algorithm is being told to find the absolute lowest cost rather than the fastest or most direct route.

 

Anyone have a set of superbump universal brackets laying around and want to turn them in to a little cash? Wheelers can’t seem to figure out how to sell me the brackets only…

Even apart from the overheating issue, I’m just not liking this Xterra like the 2nd gen 4Runner I borrowed. In theory it’s a very similar truck, but there’s just something about the Toyota
