I need to get me one of those...maybe this fall?

... Ice fishing is way too slow for me...I only go a couple times each winter...and bird/rabbit hunting gets difficult when the snow gets above your shins...:(

10 years in Alaska now...and I still ask myself why I want to stay every March...then "Break-Up" starts showing me the light at the end of the tunnel...before you know it the fish are running...then I remember why I stay! :D

That and the economy in lower 48 is sucking right now...I've got it pretty good right where I am! :D

either a snowmachine or hockey will keep you budy.
the ice comes off your lakes in march! the ice will be on until atleast mid may here. the only province that was really affected by your recession was ontario.

if it wasnt for this recession I wouldnt have been able to buy my house 3 years ago. prices were too high theres alot of hard working people and families that are not effected by it and there are alot of lazy people who use it as an excuse. Im not saying its a great thing but you only hear the negative on the news

Ice is there through at least March...starts melting around the edges in April...usually gone by beginning of May...as if there was anything "usual" about the weather here...I'm guessing 'bout the same there, eh?

March seems to be the month I get frustrated with the snow/cold and want it to "just GTFO!! :D

...starting going to hockey games this year...like the action, but need to get smarter at the rules/tactics...:)

BTW...how's the flooding situation? Hope that passes without too much damage/inconveniences for ya'll.

...missed this yesterday...I get more frustrated with this President every day...it's like he (and his administration) don't have a clue.:(

Wants to lump Canada into US reliance on "foreign" oil?? Damn it!!

IMO...forming a pact with Canada to take advantage of North American oil/gas reserves (is that the right term?) would make more sense.

I'm saying lets invest to find and pump what we already have but won't get it out of the ground for some darn reason or another. That way we could lessen NA dependence on OPEC (and others). And over time jointly look at alternative sources...

...on the other, are we talking like a "tax" or "fee" for crossing the border..WTF!!! ...they have no frickin' clue who our friends are and who our enemies are!!

Damn it ... that's why I try to avoid this stuff ... think I need a smoke and cup of coffee now.

if you start playing hockey you will understand it better.
my house wont have any problems but the people in the southern valleys are flooded out and who knows when the farmers will be able to get out on the fields.

The bubble had to burst...very glad you came out on the positive side. :)

And you're absolutely correct...we don't hear enough of the good about the hard working people and families. :(

Guess that's not enough drama for our media...don't get me started down that road!

Don't know if my old bones can take the game at this stage...need to save what I got so I don't limit my ability to get out and enjoy my passion for camping, hunting, and fishing. Ya...think I'm gonna have to remain a spectator at the hockey games! ;)

So in addition to fuel costs...the flooding will limit the growing season...guess we'll all be paying more across the board...fuel, groceries, etc, etc...eh??

One way to look at it. Then again we can use up the rest of the worlds oil then use up ours.
