Welp.....I'm out. If he's the kind of feller that has to do some figuring then he's gonna charge more than the measly $4k that I mentioned.

    :sorry:

Odds are, if he has to do some figuring, he trying to decide how much he can squeeze you for.

That's impressive, the way you snuck those sheets right under your wall art.

And the one was even pre-cut for the door!

I musta missed this somehow. While I can't take pictures of the actual equipment at work, this is the exact piece of equipment.

    unnamed.jpg

Had to extend it a little bit and squeeze in the back of it and sit on the belt to replace a couple chain sprockets that blew out. Of course the retaining pin was hard to get to with the lack of room to swing a hammer and punch so I had to sawzaw them out. Of course one of the new sprockets was bad right out of the bin so I had to cut a brand new pin out. I was shoved in that thing for 2 hours total. Halfway through I told the guys "You better let me out of here so I can pee or else I'm going right here!"

    Funny you should say that.

Last year when we almost bought that property, I had a great conversation with a certified septic inspector/system designer. Really good guy.

He was saying an out building with just a bathroom was a much more simpler system to design and that adding a kitchen adds the expectation of a livable space which adds to the size

He also cautioned never completely demo a building with an approved apartment before getting a permit to rebuild it. Towns around here have gotten very tight in such matters.

There are many different "problem solver" parts for toilet flanges, kind of like having a magic bag to pull a solution out of instead of doing a giant amount of work. ;)

    Look here for some choices:

Ha! Where were you yesterday???

I figured out the thing about flange repair is that you only figure it out after you remove the toilet. You might get hints like a lag bolt being used as a toilet hold down bolt but it’s always gonna be a delay to get the fix if it’s a newfound issue…
