Mine was an Altec. Our old ones were Picos. We all preferred Picos.
I always had trouble with the 2 way intercom. Turret was a 360 and the the contacts were problematic.

Actually my first 2 years were residential. Couldn't wait to transfer out of that gig.

I wonder who built your trucks. Back in the 80's I ran daily shopfloor operations for a truck equipment dealer in Hartford. We built all the bucket trucks and digger derricks for NU, Boston Edison, Rochester Electric and a bunch of smaller utilities. When I first got there NU trucks used Mobile Equipment buckets until Mobile went belly up. We had unfinished units on their shopfloor in St. Louis. Bunch of us flew out to complete them and get them loaded on trailers for shipping. I didn't know anything but could drive the van to/from the hotel and gofer. Mobile was the best quality of any of the buckets then or after.

We also built all of DOT's plow trucks. Over one contract we built 700 trucks over three years. Driving a wing plow thru Hartford to the paint shop was scary.

Pico used to be in Milford/Orange.
As said, I liked their buckets. They had hydraulics in the bucket for chainsaw/drill use. You can also keep tools up there.
Altec had inverter for electric saw and drill, which was prone to popping usually at the worse time.
OTOH, the Altec's boom had more balls when raising heavy stuff.
The Altec had tool trays you had to remove and put back every time you changed locations. A PIA when the trays weighed 50 pounds. I had canvas skirts for the bucket now and then. They usually got shredded after a few times running in the trees.
Bucket heater was useless except when I stuck my frozen hands in it, lol.

Once we had a small cable TV company bucket we'd taken as a trade-in. I was the envy of the neighborhood when I brought it home for the weekend and painted my entire house in two days

And... Mike spreads his 'wings.' I do not want to watch Mike doing the chicken dance. I learned about it years ago...
