Offset...it can make a difference...several rabbit holes on this topic...this video explains it pretty well along with a link to TPC's blog explanation.

More offset/51mm - better stability at higher speeds

Less offset/44mm - better handling in technical sections, slower speeds.

^^^ Agree, most regular "Joes" wouldn't be able to tell the difference...I'm quite certain I couldn't.

Anyone want an EXT Aria, 185x55?
Will need air can service. It may be the perfect time for someone else to get it retuned for them or their bike. Tune is for a 185 lbs rider on a 152 Arrival, though I’m currently running it in 140mm travel using a different link. I’m just going to convert my bike to 170mm.

$500 shipped, comes with box, tuning card, and 600 psi pump, DOES NOT COME WITH BOTTOM HARDWARE.

Anyone here have experience with USWE bike hydration packs?

I've worn Camelbak M.U.L.E.'s, Osprey Katari/Raptors...would appreciate feedback from folks who've worn and ridden USWE products.

Please let me know which model and pack space/hydration bladder size you utilized. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, Allied BC40 frames are no longer made in the US. I'm glad I bought before the switch.

I’ve got the outlander pro 2l. It’s one of the smallest they make but it’s nice. No bouncing with this size. I usually rock the pack, a small running pouch to hold nutrition and either a frame bag, top tube bag, or tool roll type thing.

It’s seems like a lot but it’s like a layered EDC. I’m able to adjust depending on what I’m doing. Most of the time, I just need the hydration pack and running pouch thing.

As far as the bag itself, it fits nicely. I’m a big guy especially for a biker at 230+/- and so I’m probably on the upper limit of the size but it fits fine. Sometimes it will ride up a tiny bit but it’s easy to fix with one hand. Build quality is great after like a year or so of use. The version I have is kind of in between a running vest and hiking pack as far as the materials they use.

unfortunately since mine is small I can’t speak to how a bigger version would feel if it was like half loaded.

Finally had some time to put into this, here they are with the Schwalbe G-One R Pros mounted up. They tested to be an extremely fast rolling tire while still having good puncture resistance.

I finally had some time to put together a bike that's been in the box for a month while I focused on getting an old car baselined. I built it up yesterday using some new parts (crankset, bb, tires, grips) and some old parts (drivetrain, saddle, wheels). The SB115 came with SLX and Fox Factory suspension and seatpost and was a deal that hard to pass up. Some build pics below with before and after weights. For an apples to apples comparison, the built up weight without pedals was 24.87 lbs so a 5 lb reduction from stock. The last weight is fully rigged up with pedals for an honest ready to ride weight. The ultrasonic heater cleaner is excellent for cleaning up old parts (I use chain wax on all my bikes so it wasn't too bad). My goal was around 25 lb-ish so mission accomplished. The front Mezcal maybe to XC-ish though so that may have to be replaced by a Rekon eventually. The wheelset is 1240 grams with tape and valves.

Maiden happened today. Still some tweaks that need to be made like cutting the steerer, shortening the front brake hose and figuring out why the Fox Transfer post doesn't extend fully half the time.

We had a similar issue with one recently and used some WPL suspension lube and it freed right up. I'm sure you've already messed with seat post clamp tightness, but if not you can try loosening it a touch.

I ended up just opening it up and cleaning it. Works better now. The Transfer that came with it (brand new), I'm returning to the bike shop since it's still under warranty. I may consider the Neo as I've gotten used to how clean the bike looks with just brake hoses.
