Wouldn’t we all? However, having vacationed at the beach for years… I’m a firm believer in a good balcony view, and an awesome pool. I need exactly ZERO of the actual beach (plenty of things to add aggravation), but the view and a wonderful pool make for an endless good time. Yes, this can be accomplished on a ship… but having worked deep water, no thank you. Land has its definite advantages and upsides.

You're right. The beach is usually dirty or there's a rip tide too close or some other aspect to ruin the experience. I really want a swimmable beach at an all inclusive resort

Cruise info :
Most times when we cruise it is NCL ( Norwegian) or Royal Caribbean. The girls cruise is on a cruise line called MSC . They are staying in something called The Yacht Club . Exclusive suites, private pool ,hot tub and restaurants away from the rest of the riff raff onboard. They even have their own butler

I think something around $2500 per person which includes all food and drinks ,Wi-Fi , first on and off the ship at ports . Special restaurants ! La De Da

Friends tell me Norwegian is the best and to do “THE HAVEN” for kids/riff-raff free experience. I did 10+ years on offshore vessels. I’m done. I love deepwater fishing and don’t mind the too/from, but have ZERO desire to make a voyage out of it. Working for a lab processing Norovirus and other fun commutables also make that desire go away. Plenty of friends have had the horrific weather experiences I relayed in a much lesser vessel (typically 300’ and under).

 

Yes , they have stayed in The Haven many times . I have not . My wife’s friend who organizes all this stuff used to own a cruise line travel agency , her and her husband are millionaires. He used to own his own marketing company and sold it . He did a lot of stuff for Miracle Ear .
On a shitty note , a few of us got Norovirus on a Princess cruise years ago on the way home from Aruba
