Warrington PD is actually really cool, aside from their unconstitutional (in my opinion) use of unmarked "race bait cars", but I've been generally annoyed with the antics of police lately; I've already told everybody about the incident I had on the job a few weeks ago when I was driving a red Honda Odyssey registered in Arizona through Plumstead Township. I was going 48 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, and all of a sudden a cop in a black F150 started riding my ass. He followed me for quite a couple miles before backing off, likely because he ran the van's Arizona plate and it came back to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. To my knowledge, there was nothing wrong with the van that would warrant being pulled over, but policy at Enterprise is that they will cover any tickets for non-moving violations that employees get in their vehicles. The cop thought I was an out-of-towner from out West and was fishing for violations.

A week or two ago, I was parked outside @Gwyns04 's house, which is just up the street from where my girlfriend lives; Amanda and I were inside Gwyn's small ranch house, which has a big window in the front that gives a full view of the front yard. This was within days of us finding out that Amanda's mother had been found dead in her apartment. Amanda and Gwyn both live in the jurisdiction of the New Britain Township PD (which in my experience has been pretty cool, at least with regards to not pulling over a Toyota Tacoma covered in Christmas lights during the holidays); I was parked the wrong way, but this wasn't the problem. There is an elementary school right down the street, and when school is in session, there is no parking on the street from 7am-5pm from Monday through Friday; I have parked in front of Gwyn's house for hours at a time while dismantling HVAC equipment and sorting other scrap, and never had a problem, but I think that's because I was with the truck and clearly doing something. I left the truck parked in front of Gwyn's house for not even ten minutes when Gwyn told me that a cop had stopped in front of the house and was checking out my truck. The cop stopped in the middle of the road and reversed so he could read my license plate.

Amanda and I both started new jobs recently, and now we were dealing with the death of her mother; I was NOT in the mood for petty bored suburban cop bullshit. Gwyn has a storm door with a full-length glass window, and the regular front door was open; I came to the door, the cop saw me immediately, and gave that cop a look that said "I don't care that you're a cop; I'm going through some shit right now and you won't ticket that truck if you know what's good for you."

The cop looked back at me, pointed at the Tacoma and mouthed "Yours?"

I said yes, opened the door, and shouted across the yard that we were leaving shortly. Amanda and I had planned on leaving in the next five or ten minutes, but the cop insisted on waiting out there until he saw us leave. We left without incident, but the cop waited there the whole time until Amanda got in the truck and we drove off, and made me even nervous because he happened to be behind us until we went our separate ways after leaving the neighborhood.

It is also worth noting that I have only gotten two parking tickets in my entire life, and one of them was paid for by Puck because I got it while parked at my place of employment due to a misunderstanding. Well, it wasn't so much a misunderstanding, so much as I gave the people who'd called parking enforcement a piece of mind...

The original Puck was in the basement of a huge former bank built in 1929, and the top levels were rented out to some wealth management firm; I was an employee of Puck before that company moved into the upper levels of the building, and even though we were technically only allowed to park there on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays, employees parked there whenever they wanted without issue for the most part. You can only imagine my anger when I came out to my truck to run an errand on December 1st, 2016 (a Thursday) and found a $50 ticket under my wiper; I'd worked there for two years without issue at that point. As stated above, my boss wrote a check.

I went to the wealth management firm and told them politely but firmly that I was an employee at Puck for two years, that I ran errands in my truck for my boss, that I was going to be parking my truck there because it was more convenient to do so, and they were just going to have to deal with it; I worked there until the end of January 2019 and never had another problem with them.

Shawn's buddy's Wife was on her way to work this morning and a car came flying up behind her with the high beams on so she just pulled over and let it pass. Just after that a pickup with a drunk teenager crossed the center and slammed head on into the car she had let past, would have been her if she hadn't.

No doubt! Shawn's buddy had to go clean her car off as the drunk teenage kid was trying to get her to take him away so he could flee the scene and bled all over the car as she told him no way, sadly the occupants of the high beam car are in critical condition.

Absolutely, if anyone dies from the other car he will face more serious charges too.

If he's 18 or older and he gets any type of felony charges, he's pretty much fucked! He'll get his license back eventually (remember, the old man who hit my truck while driving drunk in 2015 killed somebody while driving drunk in the 1980s, but had a valid license when he hit me), but a lot of companies still will not hire anybody with a felony conviction. If he's under 18 and he gets good lawyer, he'll probably get it expunged. Look up the case of Ethan Couch in Texas. Also, how badly injured was the drunk kid?

Its honestly so stupid to drive drunk, not so much hurting yourself but harming others. I do remember that with the old guy that hit you, was he also drunk at that point too?

I believe that the son of a bitch blew a .16, and if the police hadn't showed up when they did, he would have been leaving the scene in ambulance instead of a police car. He accused me of running my stop sign, when he blew through his going straight while I was making a left; I maybe could have waited a few more seconds, but he was sitting at a dead stop not moving at all, and then he decided to floor it once I was already in the intersection. A lot of times you don't know that somebody is about to hit you until it happens, but I knew this sack of shit was about to hit me before it happened. He was seriously sitting there and then I'm guessing his attitude was "Fuck you, I was here first so I have the right of way!" I suspect that he fell into a drunken stupor behind the wheel and me turning snapped him out of his trance. I have encountered many close calls at intersections in Doylestown (where that accident happened) and other places, but I suspect those driver were sober. This guy was hammered, and his reflexes were off as a result, so he thought that he had enough room to go. He did, and his error judgement almost resulted in the bumper being ripped off my truck. He will never know how close he came to me just clobbering him and claiming self-defense when the police arrived...

Anyway, as stated above I could have probably waited a little longer and/or inched past the limit line, but both the police and my insurance company took my side so I don't really give a fuck what the old man thought; I honestly hope that if he continued driving drunk, he hit a vehicle belonging to a psycho with a gun...

Has anybody ever heard of an Inios Grenadier? I first saw an ad for them on Facebook, and I’ve seen a few of them around my area the last few months; I spotted this one last Sunday, on the used car lot shared by Thompson BMW and Thompson Lexus…
