Just went from KO2’s to Falken 275/70/17 and now I’m getting frame rub on front rear drivers side of tire at hard left turn. Any fix for that?

Anybody know if 275/70(or75)/17 with a -12 offset will rub with a westcott 3in lift in front of and one inch lift in rear?

I just put on JBA upper control arms over the weekend and had an alignment. Now getting cab mount rub in reverse left turn. 275/17/17 on 17” wheels -10. 2.5” lift.

think I’m gonna call the alignment shop tomorrow and see if they think there is room for a positive caster adjustment.

275/70/17 K03’s. Really like this tire size so went with the same when my 275 k02’s wore out.

That's the size I'm leaning towards when the time comes.

First, getting the TRS Suspension Kit upgrade next month...then it will be a waiting game/miles traveled to save for wheels/tires.

I like seeing comparisons from a distance...I'll be going from 265/65R17s to 275/70R17s.

    This and that
I went from 265/75/16 to 275/75/17. Difference was huge.

Fender flares,
I installed BFG KO3's 275/70 R17 on my 2022 tacoma SR5. Major rubbing in full right or left steering. Having said that, it only happens when I am pulling into or out of a tight parking spot, and then its at 3-5MPH> I lifted the front 2" with OME shocks and bilstein 5100 shocks. Kicked out the wheels 1.5" with spacers. That didn't completely resolve the rubbing issue. I had to trim quite a bit of the interior fender well panels in front. That fixed the front rub.
I still get a slight rub at slow speed in extreme turns (steering wheel full left or right) on the rear frame inside the fender well. Took a grinder to that area to create a smooth surface and to remove any welding slag and create a radius so no sharp 90* edge that could tear up the tire. (again, just during extreme turning at a very slow speed.
even after all that, I would do it again. Love the aggressive look and the tire performance
NO rubbing at all under normal driving conditions

After cutting 2 sidewalls in 8 months on my 275 RT Trails i bailed and went to 285s mostly cause I just couldn't find a decent 3 ply sidewall tire I liked in 275. On a side note Glue Tread worked like a champ patching the sidewall cut

Wide boys, 9”! Cool. I was wondering why our experiences were so different with this size, but I am only on 7” wide wheels. That explains it.

I have 17x8.5 0 offset. I am looking at a 2 inch front lift / 1 inch rear lift level. Would I have any rubbing with 275/70/17s? I don't really want to do any cutting unless it's minor.

Depends on the UCA and castor that can be achieved during alignment

Posted before but two 3rd gens identical set up suspension wheel and tire combo only difference is UCA JBA does not rub other uca does. JBA high castor provided about .5 inch difference which was enough to clear fender liner/ cab mount with just one minor cut to bottom plastics

Since I'm the other truck, it should be noted that both our UCAs provide the exact same amount of extra caster...proves that even with all other things being equal, there are variations truck to truck.

Finally bit the bullet and got new tires,

    -275-70r17 wildpeaks C load
    -17x8.5 -10 SCS Ray 10's
-Bilstien 5100 front set for 2"
    -Bilstien 5100 rear 1" block
Rubbed ever so slightly on what i believe is the driver side fender where the mud flaps would be While backing into my inclined driveway, doesnt seem to be rubbing cabmount. But im sure i could make it rub with heavy braking while turning.
