that doesn’t look great. But as long as you can get the new joint installed, the cap is firmly seated and the center section doesn’t bind, you should be fine

Going to clean the 2015 Taco. Going to do a deep dive into getting the crud out of the truck bed and the engine bay. Hope to have enough time to start on the interior as well.

I would try as well in your position. Round file to knock down the edge and smooth a bit, and see how it feels pressing in, seating, and for any binding. Worst case you're out the cost of another u joint and a few min of your time if you have to redo it

Fixed the terrible squeak I had after fixing my truck on Friday.
Dust shield was hitting the rotor. It was so loud that people would stop and look.

Replaced all 6 spark plugs. Went slow and took about 1.5 hours. Wasn’t too bad, not as easy as my 4.9L. F150 but I got it done with zero issues. Very therapeutic work id say.

Three dealers all offered me $9500 for my old Taco today. I go to a Nissan dealer tomorrow then make my decision. Drove a Maverick today. It’s a car with a 4 foot bed.

its been a while since I had it and I miss my F150 every day. '96 single cab short bed with the eddie bauer edition package. 6 cylinder, 5 speed manual in what I consider Bigfoot Blue.

The hybrid is a pretty good car with a bed to be honest. I wish work would buy me one

Dang this truck bed is nasty!!! I tried a pressure washer with a 15 degree nozzle and then a Turbo Nozzle (it shoots a straight stream but it spins in a tight circle) and got a little off of it, but I gave up after a bit when nothing much was coming up. Did a deep clean on the wheels and tires though. Those were totally neglected and even though we hired a detailer to clean the truck, he did a crummy job. Took about 10 minutes at each corner and an assortment of brushes, Adams Wheel & Tire cleaner (HIGHLY recommend) and a pressure washer and got them sparkling clean! Next, I hit the interior with some Super Clean in either 16:1 or 4:1 to address some of the nastier parts of the interior. I hate gray plastic, it really shows everything.

Tomorrow is the engine bay and the exterior. Probably get to dressing the interior too. So much to do and so little time to do it! Rain is coming by Wednesday.

Doesn't even have a license plate yet!
What did I do? I bought it!

Finally back into another 2.5 gen -- This time, I'm not ever getting rid of it! 2014 Sport, 6 speed, 106k, very clean for a New England truck. Excited to start the build all over again!
