I just recently bought my new Tacoma, and I put 33s and a 3 inch lift which voids my warranty. I’m scared something will mess up within 200k miles. Any suggestion to maintain this thing perfectly?

    Is it Friday already?

You want it to last as long as possible, go back to stock

That's not how warranties work. Go read up on the Magnusson Moss Act. You didn't "void" anything.

A lift does not void your warranty. If a failure does occur on your truck, Toyota may say it is due to the modification and refuse the repair under warranty.
But if your radio quits working tomorrow, Toyota will not blame it on the lift and refuse to fix it.

It voids the dealership warranty. My tacoma warranty is only 60 thousand miles and I’m at 40 right now

That is a factory warranty, not a dealership warranty. Dealerships are scumbags and frequently try to scare people by saying "that will void your warranty" but they are lying, ignorant, or both.

As you insert more and more variables into the equation, things get less and less predictable. You cannot expect a 3 inch lift and 33 tires to not have some sort of impact over time. Does this void the warranty just because they are there; no it does not. But can this give dealers a solid reason to deny a warranty claim; you bet it does.

Keep up with the recommended maintenance schedule, and don’t go Ivan Stewart in your backyard (that’s what catches most), and you won’t need to worry much about warranty denials.

Being a lifted 2.7 w 33’s, might worry a little more about pulling out into fast moving traffic, merging, passing…Congrats & share pics.

Modifying and off-roading are not activities suited to worriers and what-iffers.

They are reserved strictly for the "damn I fucked up, now I gotta fix it" -ers.

LOL, I just happen to be the President of the local "Damn I Fucked It Up" chapter. I cannot wait until this year's annual convention, assuming they don't fuck it up!

You could always leave it parked and walk everywhere. That would guarantee nothing ever happens

The one I linked clarifies that you don't spend a dime for it. You lodge the complaints and trigger state/guberment investigations that you don't pay for.

Trying to litigate will break most. Having regulatory agencies breathing down your neck is a PITA for a business. It's not about threatening them like your link claimed.

Sounds like you fucked up by delegating this year, Mr. President.

So I seek a code word for these threads by the two-hit wonders. Hyper vague, open-ended space cadet question by a new poster with 98% chance of abandoning this thread and TW like my Dad did my family right after I was born. (Post hoc ergo proper hoc?)

We can’t be Mean Girls right out of the gates or Principal Colorado will breakfast club us….but…I dunno. I’m here too so I guess I’m in your administration, Buck.
