Understood, provide all basic info and findings to help CS address what is needed.

No issue is smaller, I designed those and have my name on a product, so any issue makes my pride and credibility struggle. I don't want to even see the single case, but Manufacturing errors will happen, and must be taken care of in the event of such and CS is a dept to do so. I am in PST zone, CS may reach you before I wake up, if not, when I am up, I check with CS and I will follow up once I find any update.

Man, thank you! I really appreciate the feedback/support. While I haven’t yet been able to actually install, I am really looking forward to getting them on and running. You guys did an incredible job and this is my second set of your guys’ headlights for my rig and I’m super excited.

Before I miss the chance to ask,
Do you need the order number? Or any other info?

Is there a way to convert the white DRL to amber if you’ve already bought it?

Got the Hybrids installed a few weekends and finally got to test them out on a few days camping. Truck had full halogen from factory and also running VLED taillight conversion. Morimoto resistors installed on headlights but nothing on tails.

Getting hyperflash on both sides turn signals when headlights are off but not when headlights are running (either manually on stalk or when they activate on auto mode).

Any ideas? I was thinking the tails may need a resistor also?

CS is assigned, acknowledging your case, and they shall handle it accordingly. You should be hearing from them shortly, but if you have issue, you can alert me

First check to see with stock incan bulb. If incan bulb does not cause hyper flash issue, then whatever the LED bulb is the cause. Vast majority of the case, LED bulb loads are vastly different from incan bulb, not triggering hyperflash by LED bulb level is not equal to hyperflash free. It's just within the detection margin that may not have much buffer room.

Thanks for the response, Yoshi. I have yet to do any troubleshooting on it as I just noticed it this past weekend. It’s odd that it works perfectly with the low/high beams on and only get the hyperflash with DRL only running.

I’ll try dropping the incan bulbs back in the tails and see if that clears it up. Also I believe the newer versions of the VLED taillight kits come with a resistor now that mine do not have.

I did add high quality PPF to my previous Tundra lights, aftermarket innards with stock OEM light housings, updated by Caesar at Lightwerx. Beautiful outcome for 6+ years. Sorry, I don't trust the OEM lens, and re-applying ceramic is not in my schedule.

I went an ahead and started a direct conversation with you regarding my situation at the moment with CS…. Needless to say, it’s not positive. But I don’t want to put that info here. Thank you for your help with this matter.

The fix to this issue for anyone having it if having hyperflash after installing all components is to go into the vehicle customization screen within the trucks setting and turn off the DRL setting. The issue is mostly occurring to owners going from halogen to Morimotos LED projectors. Hope this helps, enjoy your XB EVOS!

That would work great if I still had my OE head unit or the maestro module would let me change that setting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah im not too familiar with aftermarket head units the idatalink maestro could potentially work but whatever settings you had set at the time of removal of OEM is where its stuck.

the maestro module does let you do this. i have a sony 9500es with a maestro and the setting is buried in the Sony menu under maestro. i assume your head unit sees the maestro and would give you the same option.

My aftermarket hu has the option and works. But it did not affect my hyperflash at all. Still haven't contacted morimoto about it. It doesn't happen too often so hasn't been a priority yet.

Extra, Extra! Read all about it!

The ss3 max's are in fact SAE compliant. "SS3 Max Selective Yellow Chromaticity window plot. With the 6000k emitters it still falls in the legal selective yellow chromaticity window."

They also have "a cleaner cut off" and "higher output" than the ss3 pro fogs.
