First real rip in the dirt and this thing is insane. Literally floats.
But I broke 2 headlights and 1 taillight.

Idk where your numbers are from. But with a +4 and 37x12.5’s on -38’s I’m 91” outside to outside.

With 0 offset it would be 88 or so.

Thanks! I just couldn't do black with the silver. The bumper dissappears when it's black. Thought it would look meh but I'm happy with it.

Thanks dude. My favorite part is the little hemispherical end caps I found on ebay and welded/blended in.

They are actually rounded. So it adds a nice little touch

Preaching to the choir. The amount of stainless steel paint I've used on this thing is concerning.

TMR has some nice end cap options. They have some press formed plate caps with a little bit of hump or billet end caps that give you a half sphere finish.

Only thing is that silver makes the tube diameter (1.75) look a little scrawny. If i ever build another one the main tubes will be 2.0 tube.

Yep, totally agree. The Big grill and headlights on the 2nd gen front ends overpower 1.75. I still need to finish my bumper, but I went with 3x3 square tube for the uprights and 1x3 for the wings to try to make it look proportional. 1.75 should work for the bracing.

How would I go about getting a more uniform matte finish on these skids? Anodizing?

2nd gen +6 glass must be the equivalent of +4 for 3rd. Your truck looks ungodly wide even with the +6 on it. So weird that we are the same front width.

I'm hitting all of my aluminum filler panels with 240grit sandpaper on a random orbital sander. I love the finish it leaves, and when you scratch one, you can touch it right up without taking it off.

What he said. I’m right at 91 with -38’s and 37x12.5’s. Your average guy with a 3.5 kit and 35’s is probably in the 87” range

Haha. No rush but obviously sooner is better. Lcas showed up over the weekend and got new steering clevis welded up last night for the jd slide rack. Gonna get the new clevis on so I can at least cruise around while waiting on the spindles.

One night of beating on it and I already cracked the core support.

I knew it would break but not after one night lol

    Time for an engine cage?
