Hey Connecticut, our backs hurt

My "back" issue is coming back...

Fuck my life.

For the past few weeks I've been feeling that little sharp pain once in a while, tightness in the area, pain in my groin like a pulled groin feels, and a burning/tingling sensation on my butt cheek and thigh area.

Luckily I had a follow up appointment scheduled for today, that I had made a while back after getting the steroid medial branch block in January.

Told them what has been happening lately, and they said that it had a good run and it isn't unusual for the symptoms to come back since the steroid doesn't last forever. And that everything I was describing as far as symptoms went could be due to the issue in the area, or it could also be something else close to that area.

The "final step: is what's called lumbar radiofrequency ablation, which "kills" the nerves that send the pain signals. But before I can to do that, because of stupid insurance BS, I need to do another round of the steroid medial branch block. So now I have to wait for them to get approval from the insurance company, and for the call to schedule the appointment.

Going to buy just the L/F caliper this weekend from O'Reilly's and install it. I may order new front shocks and I need more leaf spring pads so I'll order those.

Ugh , I feel your pain Nuno but sometimes it does take a couple steroid injections before it really helps . Do the Drs know what exactly is causing the pain ?
I have been working on firewood the last 2 days so I’ve been sore all over . Been jumping in the hot tub after and taking Aleeve . Im going to be 63 in a couple weeks and not a day goes by without some kind of pretty severe pain . Could be my shoulder ,back ,hand ,neck ,foot ,it just never ends .

Happy hump day.

From what the doc and the PA said, sounds like they have it figured out. But as it is with everything else, it could always be something else as "part of it" and just something else entirely. The first steroid shot I think really helped, so I think that it/was a strong indicator of what the problem is and I think they think the same thing.

Guess we'll see what happens. Still waiting for the call from the office about it being approved by the insurance so I can schedule the appointment for it.

Lucky you. I can't even do that!

A few weeks ago, while out walking, somehow I hurt my foot. Not even sure what I did or how I did it, but now the side of my foot hurts and I can't really walk very well. Every time I step and plant my foot, the side hurts.

ARGH.

This getting old shit really sucks. I can pinpoint to when things really started going downhill for me... it was when I turned 40. Up until then everything was "OK", all things considered. Since then, always something going on.
