The TRD pro comes with more aggressive good year wrangler RT tires in 265/70R18

The TRD OR comes with BFG trail terrains in 265/70R17

The good years are slightly heavier too and of course the TRD Pro is sits higher and has more aerodynamic drag.

I certainly didn't buy my Taco to drag race, but as i was telling another poster, the hybrid being 'slower' is due to a lot of other factors.

Either way, I encourage anyone on the fence to drive both back to back and make up your own conclusions.

Hybrid OR has 18's and I believe FWPs.

    Ah ok; I stand corrected.

I still say whomever is on the fence or question why the hybrid exists, just drive it with an open mind. :)

I am a turd gen owner and I love mine. Turd gen is an appropriate nickname for these turd gens.

Haha still not buying a 3rd Gen, if my 13 was wrecked out of nowhere not sure what I’d buy. Probably another 2nd Gen low miles, but I’d test drive a 4th Gen

I sold my 2nd generation 2006 Pre-Runner TRD Off Road 4.0 V6 to purchase a 2024 4 Runner with the last year 4.0 V6. That was the plan! I wanted to grab the last year real engine.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I liked my 3rd gen, but if somebody wrecked it my first step is to test drive a manual 4th gen instead of going back to another 3rd gen

No offense but Your 3rd gen isn’t special this is a tactic all dealers do to all used car owners in for service. Every oil change on my Subaru forester or BMW X5 I get the same text. That’s how they get you to trade in your existing car to get into a new one.

Exactly my argument, its not envy, many of us have a bias towards one gen or another not because we envy wishing we had the newest one.

Since they come stock with negative offset aftermarket wheels, 37's and ATs. JFC. Anything looks good lifted with big tires bud.

No. Tires flush with the fenders is the way.

I'm well aware, which is why I always ignore these texts. Hell, I got a text from the Honda dealership when I brought my 08 FA5 with peeling clear coat, dents and dings, and a missing vtec sticker, in and as I was waiting in the dealership for them to finish, I got a text saying my car is "in high demand" and to respond to them for a quote.

I agree mostly with just a little bit of poke.

Wasn’t at all. Still think the rear is ugly but everyone has their opinion.
