Not much of a mod, but ADS finally made a license plate frame so now I have a proper truck frame. Only took 3.5 years to find a good one. The truck is about done so the little tweaks make me happy.

Got my 150k oil change and tire rotation in today (a real rotation and not whatever the dealership does). I was impressed at how good the oil still looks and it doesn't seem to burn any.

Side note: does anyone know what this is or if it does anything important? It seems like just a plug. Does anyone know the part number if needed?

Yes, the rails themselves are the same. I could be wrong, but there appears to be a difference between generations on the distance from the front of the rail to the surface of the bed side. After printing another designers bed rail cup holder, it was apparent that their 2nd generation bed rail distance was much farther away from the 3rd gen, this caused the holder's angle to be completely off. This could be do to them using an aftermarket product on their rail, I am not sure. In any case, a redesign was warranted after measuring my unmodified 3rd gen's bed/rails.

Hey Thanks! And yes, Baja Designs S2 Sport. It's bright as balls, lol. Was worried it wouldn't be as effective mounted that low, but it is pretty insane. Cleanest place on another otherwise stock rear end I could think of to mount it.

Flush mount S2 looks, good man! Glad to hear you are enjoying the lighting. We have bezels and brackets available as well if you ever want to convert it to a regular light.

I do FSR at least once a month and some other mild off roading. My OEM tires were Goodyear AT with Kevlar, almost 45,000KM on them and been really happy with them, they do get aired down to 20 PSI when off pavement, I will upgrade before my trip this summer, looking at either Falken Wildpeak AT or Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT. I definitely want 3 ply sidewalls

Thank you. I appreciate the perspective and do recognize the risk you mention. :proposetoast:

fwiw it does have a spring loaded plunger pin.. although I'm unsure it'd save full swing on a side-to-side hill. Once finished.. if it seems like an issue I'll just weld in a stop at something like 120 degrees (or whatever angle will keep the arm out of oncoming traffic.)

    :welder:

The hinge is sold by various retailers.. it's probably overkill.
