Our sneks aren’t nice (venomous). I’m glad they mostly stick to their own business and aren’t looking for trouble. The little green ones are rare, but fun when you do find them… grass or tree snek.

I have always grown up around not nice snakes and having to watch out for them but they're so rare here that it's nice to pretty much run up to anything that moves and not worry about it.

When I was a teenager I remember being at my neighbor's swimming in their pond/tank and a snake dropped out of one of the trees. Fucking hell that was the fastest we ever got out of the water and I am not sure I ever swam in that particular one again after that

The blue ringed octopus is one. It has a venomous bite, but if that doesn't stop predators from trying to eat it, it's also poisonous once it's in their belly.
