Hello everyone, first time poster here. Currently ran into a problem with my taco. I’ve been having intermittent problems with my turn signals and hazards. The problem would be they would all cut out, as if a bulb was burnt out. Typical hyper flashing on the cluster, my hazards would not work either but would show on the cluster as if they were functioning. I’ve had this problem for a year and would happen every couple months. I’ve learned that letting the truck sit overnight would resolve the issue the next day. A couple of days ago it happened as per usual but now they will not revert after letting the truck sit and battery disconnected. I’ve checked wiring and fuses all checked out to be fine, I’ve even replaced the battery the other day and no fix. Any words of advice? I’m starting to think my combination meter might be damaged for the flasher portion pertaining to my turn signals and hazards. I do have aftermarket headlights, the low beams and high beams are halogen but the drl is led.

I’d start with the aftermarket lights for sure.

    Much agreed.

Our trucks do not have a flasher or relay for the signals. All is contained within the Combo Meter.

I believe the OP is on the right path with the Combo Meter suspicions.

Yeah i haven't had much time to thoroughly check with a meter but my fuses are all good. Disconnected both lights and still all my signals for my mirrors and rear tail lights are still not functioning. Going to try to get a combo meter from the scrap yard this weekend. Anyone know what resistance/voltage readings i should be getting for my headlights and their respective connectors?

Do you have your original headlights? I would suspect the aftermarket housings are the culprit. If you don't, try putting a 50Ohm load resistor across the turn signal leads of the headlight harness and see if the corresponding tail light flashes. Are the tail lights stock?
