Layers meaning what are they using for layer one, the primer? Layer two, the base coat (and how many coats?), layers on top of that being the number of coats of clear... At least two is really needed. Hope that helps!

o ok thanks. i should have known what he was talking about. Ill ask him about the primer but i told him i wanted 4 base coats and if i remember right the place i might buy the paint from said that the paint already has clear in it or something.....ill tell them i want the purple to be cleared also with about 3 coats. There is really no point in clear coating the flat black i have been told

They've always been relatively inexpensive. It's A LOT of bike for the money. You're not kidding about fast too, it's the muscle car of Japanese sport bikes. I love mine! I've had two of these things now. I had a 2000 model and the one I have now is a 2005. Here I was doing a little off-roading! Ha!:D

Yeah, No shit!!!! I've seen them for that price and a little higher. The good thing is that my buddy works for a motorcycle dealership and does this crap all the time. All i need is to pay for the product and shipping and the labor is free. Hell yeah:D

But i still cant convience myself to buy one. Hell i only have 25k on my nearly 4 yo truck, i'm just never home enough.....

Yeah, they are really nice bikes. Just the right size for an old fart like me but plenty of power. You a member of Triumphrat.net?

I think it looks better than the ham can and you don't hit your knee. However it is a foam air filter and flows air nice. Which is needed the bike has had some mods, not just paint.
