You can just replace the oem rubber insert into the oem blade and save a lot of $. Don't have to replace the metal holder every time.

Correct: rubber insert only and re-use the two thin stainless pieces on either side of the replacement rubber blade. I think there is also a separate part number for them as well. I think I have it somewhere. If I find it, I'll update and add it here. I think the just the rubber inserts we're about $12.00. With how parts prices have gone, prob a bit more now.

Bought some of these off ebay for I think $17. Not hard to change and they seem to last. Would recommend to any Tacoma owner for quality and price.

If you're a ding dong like me who tossed the oem assemblies (got it used and didn't know they were oe), here's the part numbers for the denso ones. I got them on rockauto. For some reason they don't list the 22" left side for this style when searching by vehicle, I had to find it manually.

For me I'd just go to a Toyota dealer and get the entire OEM assembly. Metal frame with rubber blades inserted. Last and work a lot better than anything aftermarket. Not expensive either. Like $25 for 2 complete assemblies or $15 for 2 inserts. Don't know why to bother or mess with anything else.

Do the dealers now sell these as singles? When I tried to buy them last summer at a couple local dealers you could only buy them in packs of 10.

Ordering them online was still a decent deal even with shipping, price was comparable to a set of cheap wipers at a store.

    I prefer the Silicone Blades.
Silicone coated or impregnated are OK too but the pure silicone ones like the oven mitts and spatulas are made out of now is great.

The inserts come 3 to a bag at the dealership I buy my online parts. Free shipping and I drive over to pick them up. The last time I bought wiper inserts I was picking up an online order and asked for the inserts while I was there. They picked a left and right from the bags and added them (at the discounted price) to my order. Nice guys.

I replaced the wiper blades and metal holders on my 2022 Tacoma SR today. I replaced them with Toyota OEM original parts. They weren't cheap at $81 for both, including California sales tax. The old wiper blades were almost 3 years old. They may have had a bit of life left in them, but after 3 years I figure it was time to replace them for good measure. I didn't want to go with cheap plastic Walmart wiper blade assemblies that break, fall off or wear out after a year. To compare prices, I replaced all 3 wiper blades on my wife's Honda Pilot. For the Honda OEM original parts, it cost about $115. So as a ballpark number, the factory original Toyota and Honda wiper blades with metal brackets go for about $40 each.

Costco is ok for bath tissue and roast chickens but for windshield wipers just get oem inserts from a Toyota dealer. Only about $20 for a set. No need to replace metal frames and inserts are rubber and work better than anything else. Like a lot of things oem is best and not expensive instead of searching the universe and internet for something "better".

I can tell you guys that for me, in my 2019 TRD Sport, the OEM blades last way longer than any blades I have ever seen. I just celebrated the 6th year birthday of my truck, and I have only replaced the blade inserts once, and that was over a year ago, after the first set lasted for over 4 years. With my old truck, and my wife's 96 rav4, I usually replace the blades every couple of years or so, but that was with using after market replacement blades such as Goodyear from Costco, etc. I can personally highly recommend obtaining the OEM blades if you have not already replaced the OEM ones with complete aftermarket replacement wipers.

I'll second the notion that OEM inserts are the way to go. In 4.5 years I've only replaced them once since I bought the truck new, and the current pair still aren't worn out.

Order the part numbers online, they come in singles (at least they used to). I think $20-25 for the pair.
