Purple is next. Just grabbed the yellow ones for $30. Love them for holding the axle.

Let me start with I don’t know what I’m doing so this might be a dumb question?

Does anyone have a recommendation for where to fill a bottle of C25 argon/co2? Everywhere I’ve called in Tucson does exchange only, is that my only option? I go to Phoenix often enough so wouldn’t mind an option up there. Kinda dumb but I bought a nice-ish tank and would prefer to keep it if that’s a thing.

I own my own tank and exchange is the only way I've ever done it.

We exchange our tanks here at work. But there has to be a place to just fill them up. All those guys with the power tanks for airing up keep theirs. Where do paintball guys go to fill up their Co2 tanks at?

To do the exchanges don't you have to buy the tank from the place you want to do exchanges?
Like I bought mine from Phx Welding Supply, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let me bring in a random tank for exchanges?

That I don't know. I haven't had to get mine filled since moving to AZ. I hope that's not the case cause $$$$ for a tank....

Yeah tank prices are ridiculous at Phx welding, cost me like $360 for a 60cu tank..
Exchanges aren't bad ($40 last time) but god damn that initial buy in hurt a lot more than expected

Wouldn't be surprised if they just pulled a fast one on me with how much they charged..

I’ve got a nitrogen tank for tires and I get it filled at United Fire Supply, but they don’t have c25.

Well perhaps I’m about to find out, lol. I’ll let you guys know if I try it.

There was one option for fill in Tucson but they truck it up to Phoenix in batches and only do it on Wednesdays, so I wouldn’t get it back for almost 2 weeks at this point.

Did you buy an empty tank? Is it up to date on inspection?
If you bought it full you can push the problem down the road for quite a while, they last a long time doing just smaller projects

It is empty but cert is up to date. I just assumed I’d be able to get it filled like my N, but guess I should have asked first!

It’s nice and shiny! I’d rather not have a beat up old rusted tank ruining the aesthetic of my garage

Worst case I’ll just do the Matheson option to truck it back and forth, would just be a bummer cuz I wanted to play around with it this weekend.

Take it in for exchange and tell them you want a newish one in return. They usually have some new full tanks. If they can't accommodate that then walk out.

My past exchanges the guy usually tried to give me an exchange that matched the condition of the returned tank. But YMMV

Thanks, good intel, worth a shot!

One more dumb question… Do I just waltz in with the thing in tow, or do you leave it outside or something for safety reasons? Don’t want to get kicked out on my first try!

Place I used to go to they had an area marked by a dock door for tank exchange. Otherwise I'd leave it in the truck and go in an do the transaction and find out what to do with it.

Yup, airgas said exchange only. I’ll probably just suck it up and get over paying a few extra bucks for as shiny tank and do the exchange, if they let me without it being one of theirs... Worst case I’ll do the Matheson ship out option and wait a few weeks.
