Are your tires E load? In my brief search for something bigger than what I currently have (265/75/r16) they were all C E load

just fyi, watch out for the discos.

I’ve had mine for almost 4 years and the bolt at the spindle snapped off randomly on a dirt road. Tore up my boot in the desert outside Las Vegas. I had to pull the axle and clean, regrease and reboot it.

Talked to overland and they just said they’ve never seen that happen before ever and that was it.

If in upgraded suspension just ditch the sway bar from the get go

I probably wouldn’t do that with THAT fox suspension. They tuned it and all with THAT swaybar in mind. It’s actually a thicker one than the OR. The same one that’s used in the sport.
Having had both, you don’t want to be corning at high way speeds down mountain roads like big bear. They use that thicker swaybar because the springs on the pro have a lesser spring rate to complement the shocks. It has pretty good body roll.

…and I don’t know about you, but I’m not trying to drive like a grandma with 30 pissed off cars backed up behind me.

Good feedback. I don’t have that suspension or know the details so good explanation. I’m rolling on 5100’s and 885’s and a somewhat light weight truck. Ditched the bar when I was on stock suspension and never looked back. Anyway, Good Friday feelas! See you at ocotillo wells tomorrow.

Not sure really. The additional ride height is accomplished with longer coil and not and not a change in spring rate, correct? The only explanation would be a change in valving/bypass zones between 2017-2021 Pro suspension. I definitely lost a lot of nose dive and body roll after the swap though.

Correct, E rated for the Maxxis Razr AT:

Yeah, same spring rate, just longer. The ride after my swap on my 2017 was the same if not a bit softer.

Same spring rate (~620lbs/in). Here is a side by side comparison of the recalled Eibach Spring for 2020+ models (left) and the stock TRD spring (right). About an inch difference between the two.
I still have the Eibach lift springs with TRD Fox shocks on my truck, but didn’t get a chance to take a side by side photo of the stock spring vs the one currently installed (updated spring that is ground flat on the top).

The eibach is a heavier spring rate. According to eibach, who makes both the OE spring and the aftermarket spring.

The product number in that email subject line is for 2017-2019 models. For 2017-2019 the stock rate is 650 lbs/in and the Eibach lift spring rate is 650 lbs/in. The 2020+ stock springs are 616 lbs/in and the 2020+ Eibach lift springs are 616 lbs/in.

I'm pretty sure the person who responded to your email is confusing the different model years, and thinks that both the spring rate & length are changing. Below is a quote of Mark's post saying that the spring rate was not changing for their lift springs, rather there are two different spring rates depending on model year.

    Somebody is confused.
Toyota even said the springs were closer to 600 for 2019 and prior years. This was part of “TRD”tuning for the shocks, secondary to the valving. Even the sway bar is thicker than the OR, because of such.

Again, all I know is the ride didn’t change (if not a bit softer) after installing the springs on my 2017 Pro. So, I’m confident Eibach matches the spring rates for the 2019 and under Pros compared to stock. The pre 2019 stock and Eibach springs were both ground flat top and bottom so it was a more matched swap compared to the 2020+ option.

Out of curiosity, the hex bolt that broke, was it attached to your seat bar or the suspension system? I heard of someone who had this same bolt break but it was because they had the disco installed upside down. Also, when I tried to install mine, it was apparent that the angle at which the discos connected required a sway bar relocation kit (a couple blocks). I installed the relocation kit and the discos lined up MUCH better.

If by suspension system you mean the knuckle (spindle), yes. The part that broke goes to the spindle side.

If you have them, they really only go on one way, with the pull pins in the down position.

In the pinned position, they are shorter than the OE. You didn’t need to do a swaybar drop. All you had to do was pull the swaybar down. Either way, it didn’t break because of installer error nor just sending it.

If you send it that hard that the proper graded fastener snaps clean off, usually the spindle bends. Mine is good to go.

Just installed these on my 2021 pro with 32k miles on 265/75 tires. Its a solid upgrade, the front end is stiffer but not in an uncomforting way-less nose dive and roll in the few turns i took. I'll post some better pictures soon literally drove it 4 miles and headed back to work. I am liking the ride and feels like a nice upgrade with 1" leveling kit in the back.

**Will post some better pictures tomorrow or soon**

Follow up, i absolutely love how these springs ride, the added stiffness helps with everything daily driving and body roll. No issues with any shake or shimmy whatsoever as some people noted, could be on that older spring set up before the update.

Is it recommended to get an alignment?

Awesome! Alignment is always required after any type of suspension modification.

Anyone ever run on a 2022 Tacoma trd pro the eibach front lift springs and just the front not the rear blocks to give it a slight prerunner look? And how was the ride???

Anyone get a slight clunk in the rear now? Its very minimal, but don't recall it being there before the blocks were installed.

Have you checked your u-bolts for proper torque since installing the blocks? That would be the first thing I checked.

anytime you get new u-bolts I'd check them sometime between 100-500 miles after install.
