I don't know much about this club, but there is an event in Bath. I'm going to go just to see what's up. I'm meeting a friend there from CK5.com, a club I'm in dealing with the K5 Blazers and that body style Chevy/GMC.

    Here's the link: http://backcountry4wheelers.com/fliers/Spring2011Event.htm

Anyone in the area interested. I know it's kinda short notice.

Well, I got there late and things were a MESS. In a good way, but too much for me. I can't afford to break anything so I went to spectate.

The parking area had lifted vehicles being towed out. The mud was claylike in it's consistency. It was upwards of 6"-8" deep everywhere. It was all I could do to park in between two vehicles without bouncing off of either of them. Stopping was a big mistake too. High RPM spinning was the only way to move.

There was lots to do there. Hills, mud, obstacle course and trails. Burgers, dogs, and soda was reasonably priced.

Did I mention mud. WALKING was a chore. Ruts, grassy and slippery, were the average. The mud stuck to every thing. We actually stopped on the way home to kick the mud off our boots. There was no sense in doing it there.

So...I didn't get any action photos, my bad. Just wasn't thinking. But I did get pics of a few well built Toys. Lots of SAS's.

Anyhow, here's some truck pics. Sorry my photos don't do the event justice. It was well planned and lots of trucks from stock to extreme. The Sammy on 54's was pretty well unstoppable at all parts of the event. He was the main rescuer too.

That's about it. Though there are some pretty serious trails. As wet as it was, lockers and horsepower and traction were the way to go. I don't think there was much finessing going on. I do love the sound of screaming big blocks though.

That's a bummer. A friend from Horseheads is actually who told me about it. His name is Brett. He used to work at Parmanteers. I'll try to put up some more notice next time. I guess they do this again in the fall.
