    2014 Tacoma 040 SR5 4x4 DC SB V6 AT5 Tow Pkg Entune+ Mostly stock with a few OEM mods.
Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. (winter) OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
I order parts through the Toyota Parts website from a local dealer that has a free pickup at the counter option. If I order them by 10:00 AM they are usually ready for pick-up the next day. No worry about counterfeits. The site also also runs occasional 10% and 25%-off sales and free shipping offers.

The plugs for my truck are currently listed for around $4.50 each. (90919-10235) Enter your info and part number and pick a local dealer.

I'm not sure why you are claiming they are not stock. I bought the truck new, it was always serviced by me, the dealer only did the very first setup service. This is the first plug change at 154k km's.

What does a CO sensor in my house have to do with plugs? Yes I do have one, 3 actually.

Ordered the plugs (90919-01263) for ~$13 each (supposedly a 27% discount, LOL) and will pick them up at the dealer.

    Excellent questions!

In your pic the plugs have "ears" for lack of a better description. I've only seen those on aftermarket plugs. BUT!!! You are in Canada and maybe Toyota puts them on trucks going to other countries and then America gets the more traditional plugs? Also - I haven't changed out my spark plugs yet because I only have about 16,500 miles or 26500 kilometers (is my math right on that? looks way off). I'm claiming that they might not be stock / OEM because those ears look off to me. If they are stock / OEM, I need some spark-ologist to explain what they are for because it looks like it would reduce the flame kernel's expansion at the spark site. The Denso's in the pic below don't have them. On your pic above it almost has the name of the manufacturer on the white ceramic insulator. I can't tell what it says from the way the pic is cropped but as if this post I don't think they are Denso or NGK. Also because your metal has a slight golden hue to it where the Denso's below are silver. That could be from heat though, so less of a tell tell sign.

That's more of a joke. There was an iconic Reddit post years ago where a guy kept finding soda can's and food left on his coffee table. He was worried he had an intruder or someone living in his house. The paranoia and suspense built over a few weeks until he discovered he had mild CO2 poisoning that cleared up when he went to work but came back at night when he got home because of a pilot light burning inefficiently. Or something like that. The details aren't particularly important. In pop culture asking if someone has a CO2 detector is a way of asking if they are ok but with a jesting tint to it. Like maybe you forgot you already changed the plugs but keep forgetting because of CO2.

The better description would be ground electrodes, and they look quite normal for the oem iridium plugs in question.

The Denso's in the pic you posted are NOT iridium plugs..

The OP's posted pics are Denso plugs..

WOW! OK. I've never seen that before. Learn something new every day.
What is the purpose of the extra ground electrodes? Do you have to gap them too?

    In theory, efficiency and longevity.

Iridium plugs come pre-gapped. Do the the fragile nature of the iridium tip, I don't believe any manufacturer recommends gapping iridium plugs.

I've pretty much concluded I'm just going to keep running the truck and see if I hit a code. Given no codes yet, we can assume the vehicle (and Toyota engineers) thinks it's running fine. Don't fix what's not yet broken. If I do get a code, I'll try to remember to post back here. I'll change the next set at the recommended interval of 100k as well, but that's going to be like 6 years with as much as I drive.

Exactly - The key to all your problems is the ignition key. Don't start problems where there are none. Who knows where you'll be in 6 years.
    Roll with it.
