I've been dealing with my steering being stiff and just plain terrible for about 2 years now and I've done literally everything I can think of to try fix it. I have replaced every single ball joint, every bushing, rack and pinion, steering pump, alignment, and I have greased the entire upper steering shaft u-joint. the main issues with it right now are hard turning at slow speeds, not returning to center after making a left turn, and a small amount of play. If anyone knows anything to fix this anything will help at this point

Power steering system needs flushed and or parts replaced or the tire pressure is set too high or too low.

After you doublecheck the ps fluid, make sure your rag joint ain’t bound up. When I swapped my frame, mine didn’t quite cooperate.

What brand of rack? You might have gotten a bad one.

Bought this truck in 2018, had a pull to the right. Not a lot, enough that if you let go of the wheel, you'd be in the ditch. Tried to get it aligned, they said I needed a new rack. In my stubbornness I replaced all of the front suspension, had it re-aligned, still pulled.

Replaced the rack with an OEM rack, drives like new.
