Didn’t have my readers on and read that as lost a bag of cookies the first go around. :cookiemonster: I haven’t seen it in my piles of miscellaneous junk stashed in my truck.

Need help finding an off road shop in Oregon or Washington to do my lift install. Hoping it can be a one shop stop for lift, tires/balance, and alignment. Currently living in Seattle but make my way down to Eugene a bunch.

I always recommend this shop. They’ve done work on both Tacomas I’ve owned. I’ve bought tires from them, and they installed the lift on my 2nd gen. They will install parts you bring in and will get your alignment correct for a lift. Plus they’re locally owned and do tons of rally car stuff.

I bet someone here would help with the install, especially if you offer something. I would do it if my project list wasn't so long. I had someone help with my first install and brought some elk burger. beer usually works too.

Looking into LT. it’s becoming a dedicated “off road” only rig

Still chopping things off. Not much has changed since last time we chatted.

has anyone had to replace their gas door and hinge because the hinge rusted and broke? I have a new unit that is primered and I have paint to match. But the gas door hinge uses blind rivets. Probably have to drill it out. Then another blind rivet or use bolts.

I haven’t done it yet. My door became separated from the hinge a couple weeks ago. I finagled it back in the tabs. I watched a couple videos on replacing it and yes drill it out and pop rivet the new one back on seems to be the way.

Haven’t been on here in like a year or more, but wheeled the heck out of my 3rd gen and actually sold it a couple months ago! Truck still just had too many electronics (although I deleted literally everything possible) and was still too large of a truck to wheel/build any further.

    IMG_8508.jpg

Then picked up this mint 1st gen, 3.4 5 speed with 310k miles. It’ll get a light build (rear bumper, sliders, coilovers up front, Chevy 63s and Raptor shocks in the rear) so it doesn’t ride like absolute dog shiet until some year when I magically have time/money to put fabbed 9” axles under it

Also dang nice to have a bed again, the ole 5ft bed on the 3rd gen coupled with a tiny tool box/spare tire left zero room for anything other than empty redbulls

How did those all pro LTs hold up? Just picked up the new tires. Got a long ways to go before running them though.
