I like Ancient Roman detective mysteries. Steven Saylor or Lindsey Davis.
How about Historical Fiction like Jeff Shaara. He has great trilogies on the Civil War. War in the East and the West. WW1 and WW2. His dad wrote the 'Gettysburg' movie book titled 'The killer Angles'.
Elizabet Peters mysteries about an Archeological detectives in turn of the century Egypt.
This is for fun reading. Not to cerebral are these.
My current book is '82 Days on Okinawa'. Col Art Shaw.

You going to watch the Lunar eclipse.?
Best action for Pinal Co, AZ is about Midnight tonight. If you're in SD CO, CA ., your time is 11:00 PM - I think.
    Check it out. Cloudy here..
Remember this? Top end rebuild and the engine is IN !!!!! HOORAY !!!
Works good. Got an 009 distributor, so timing is a little tricky. I'll run it for 500 miles and then check the valves and change the oil.
This is a 1971 SB VW. So, if you are 60, that means you were 6 yrs old 20250226_100419.jpg when this car was built ??

It just a log-on away, make of the vehicle you drive wouldn’t be an issue here I hope.
Good luck with whatever you end up with.

Good morning and happy Friday to all.:pccoffee:

Having some issues with trigger finger on the middle finger of my right hand. Not a good thing when you ride a motorcycle near daily as your primary transportation. Working on stretching exercises for it.

Good morning. I started an outside walking program 2 days ago. I live on a small Cul-de-sac and it is a simple, short walk one time around the loop. There are decent inclines/declines involved so it does put pressure on the knee that is different from a flat walk indoors. The walk makes me winded and is humbling. The walk is now part of my daily routine. In the coming month and a half I am going to try to build up to a mile walk.

That’s great Tom, besides all the other health benefits I get from walking, it helps my balance. Had some stroke/ seizure a few years ago, I try and walk every morning, weather dependent , and lots of water.

    Morning all:

I like where you live Bill, everyone thinks of NYC when it comes to NY, but there's a lot of beautiful open country in the rest of the state.

That's the ticket! Sounds like me, post-back surgery... Prior, I walked maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile around my community (uphill and downhill parts). Lately (when it's not raining), just a fraction... more as I feel stronger.

    Losing weight has helped!
Today, I am at 184.8, my lowest yet (down from 220 last July and an all-time high of 235). Last night, from the taco truck, I had a fish sandwich (basically, a fish taco on a bun) and ceviche tostada for dinner, yum!

Keep it up... YOU CAN DO IT!

No... I have seen them before (lunar eclipse/ blood moon). Plus, we are having a rain event in San Diego so the sky was probably cloudy at the 1-4 am time slot. I sleep then (or try to)!
We are back on Daylight Savings, so with Arizona not changing, you and I are on the same time (9:06 am now). I pray that we stay on Daylight Savings the full year... As it is now, it is most of the year (8 months)!

I increased the distance today. Still wore me out but no soreness in the shoulders or back. It was 45° degrees and chilly out. Going to try and do two walks on non PT days.
