The Transfer on my Pivot is the previous generation and it does this. Next time I am in VA I plan to warranty it.

I also rode a Trailcat LT at a Pivot demo a couple of weeks ago. That had the new version of the Transfer and it had the exact same issue. Talked to the dude running their demo and he said they would adjust the air pressure and see if it fixes the demo bike but it is a continued issue with that post.

All my Fox posts have had some initial stiction, especially after sitting. I like to use some different grease that's a little heavier duty than the regular slick honey or whatever but it works better. The seals on the 1up seem to keep it retained longer though and I definitely service them less.

Sale was too good to pass up. My Fuel EX-e 9.5

So far it has OneUp bars and head tube tool, PNW grips, pedals and 150mm dropper. Plus a random fox dropper lever. Super happy!

E-bikes have finally joined the sales-tank. I might have been lured in also...

With prices this low, it's a good time to be a mountain biker. But, bad time to be a seller.

FACTS! My neighbor has a highly upgraded 9.5 that I had rode several times. I was on the edge for a while and the sale drove the final nail in the coffin. DO IT!

CRP will be fun on an Ebike, but if you haven't taken one to Alafia you are in for a stupid fun time on a bike.

It’s a blast out there. I volunteer quite a bit at CRP and I’m very familiar with the trails. We are getting ready to add almost 2 miles of track which is going to be great.

Definitely pumped to bring this thing up north to Alafia ASAP.

It's always a pleasant surprise when you visit a trail system for the first time in a couple of years and find that they have built more natural features and improved the jump/enduro lines. Big Creek in Roswell, GA. Second ride on the new SB115. She's mostly sorted except for maybe tire air pressure and I may have to torch the front brake pads to get the grab that I want.

It's that time of year again, bleed all the brakes and refill all the tires with sealant. Ive got 3 bikes plus the wifes so time to order a quart of Orange Seal and some mineral oil and get to it.

i washed my spur last weekend and refreshed the front sealant. it was getting dark so the rear had to wait. went for an easier ride this week and now bleeding the brakes is on the to do list lol.

i only have enough stans left for 1 tire. this was one of those bigger bottles i bought probably over 5 years ago. i'm impressed it lasted that long and hasn't completely solidified in the bottle.

5 years does seem like a long time but if properly sealed, the liquid shouldn't evaporate and be fine. Interestingly, sealant seems to evaporate and dry up in tires on bikes that don't get used as much like my wife's (fair weather rider in summer only) and my DH bike which also is season limited. My XC and grabel bike get ridden all year long and the inside of the tire is always getting coated with sealant so there's a nice skim cote keeping it inside. On the seldom used bikes i always find a dried up puddle where it pooled all winter and evaporated out.

yea my patrol has been collecting dust since the spur got added to the stable. i gotta do a big service on it soon. gonna swap the fox 36 with a zeb, brake bleed and new pads, full rebuild on the reverb, should probably check the BB, and gotta figure out something with my rims and hubs.

on that note, anyone have cascade link? been thinking of putting on the patrol.

Tires sure have come a long way but they still have some ways to go until they're really perfected. Hopefully the trend away from weight weenie will add back some robustness.

I was doing a refresh on my lyrik this week and made a huge mistake. I removed the glide ring on the piston damper because they had a spare one in the 200hr service kit. Only to find out my "ultimate" model does not need it removed and I'm stuck now buying a whole new damper for $279.... I found a guy on pinkbike, who is also an idiot like me, that 3d printed a new glide ring and it seemed to work for him. I reached out to him to see if I can get the file or I am going to try 3d printing a new one this week. With that being said, if anyone has an old 2.1 damper they would like to sell I'll gladly make you an offer.

Here is the guys post about it: https://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=242392

If you do end up needing to buy a damper, look into getting an MRP lift damper cartridge as an upgrade. I put one in my Fox 36 to replace the old grip 2 and it's so much better.

Stormy weekend is maintenance time. First time removing headset bearings. Moving these CK bearings to another bike.

it’s difficult getting grease on bearings so I caked it on and then spread it with the needle.

Much smoother, I was surprised how easily the bearing felt stuck and never noticed it on the bike. Guess that’s how bearings get damaged from being good to bad really quick.
