Non-OEM Replacement Lower Control Arms

    Got the part numbers for them? The ones i found earlier on this page on Amazon said they wont fit.

    I haven’t considered aftermarket control arms, but there is someone locally selling a set of Camburg new in box lower control arms for 800 bucks nearby. I’ve been really thinking about just pulling the trigger on that deal, but I can’t find any information on those particular control, arms, and how long they last or if it’s even worth it. Any thoughts?

    Camburg/Deaver mid travel
    I have had the Camburg LCAs for a little over a year and half. They are burly as heck so no worries at all while wheeling. The maintenance is a bit tricky though. They pivot on uniballs instead of bushings. The forward most ones are relatively easy to lube but the rear ones can’t be reached easily. The ball joints have a needle fitting to grease but it’s impossible to reach without separating the ball joint from the spindle. Also, mine have torn the boots within a short time of use. They replaced 3 out of 4 boots that tore on the ball joints within a month of having the UCAs and LCAs installed. Since then, one more lower boot tore within another couple months.

    Great insight, I really appreciate it!

    I could’ve sworn these had a uniball joint instead of a standard ball joint with a boot on it. Is that an alternative option or which boot were you describing?

    They have uniballs on the frame pivots but they have a standard ball joint at the outboard end that connects to the spindle. I don’t know why they are so susceptible to tearing the boots but that’s certainly a pain.
