Oh yeah lots of mill ponds and old equipment to be found in the area, plus a good bit of active logging still. This track was mainly used to bring timber in from the coast range until a flood took it out 20 years ago

 

Looks like there is a small statue with a red cape out in the distance. Not something one would see every day.

 

Japanese monkeys in northern islands. Think they live near volcanic hot springs.

 

this is a perineal (Edit perennial stream) initiation point (PIP). And it is a sluffing colluvium in a bedrock hollow. I also own it! It took a couple years to discover this landform after extracting it from a dense tangle of invasive nonnative blackberries. I was finally able to brush cut the remaining dead canes and sword ferns this week and then I planted 60 trees in it today to hold the earth together in the future. Fingers X’d

 

I'm gonna assume you meant "perennial", otherwise you're getting up to some real weird shit out there in the woods
