What is everybody's opinion on the value of a factory rear axle with stock spring perches, factory shock mounts and a factory e-locker, 4.56 REM finished gears that has 6+ years remaining on a 10 year warranty? Axle has not seen offroad use, has no damage or leaks. Would come with axles and backing plates.

It's worth what ever someone will pay for 4.56 gears.
For the 4WD guys, they will need matching fronts.

PreRunner guys can bolt-on and go, if they are TRD. If not, a simple add-on harness can be added.

I'd say about $1,500 is a fair asking price.
But that's coming from someone that has no need for the axle. Or the desire make it work in my truck.
Asking more never hurts, you can always lower the price.

Does anyone know if it can it bolt right up to a non E-locker? Obviously some wiring will need to be done. Is the flange the same?

If you are changing the entire axle housing, it will bolt in. For clarity, the 3rd member on a non-locker and elocker have a different bolt pattern, so just switching 3rd members isn't a just bolt right in project.... but if you replace the entire axle housing, it will bolt right in.

This sounds about right to me for a complete drop in axle. I wouldn't pay a dollar more, but that's me.

I am in SoCal. It is NOT for sale as of now. Just trying to judge the value if I sell it to help offset cost of a different axle.

I wouldn’t be opposed to a good working diff being up to $300 or more depending on what it includes. Third member $0-300. Being in a good housing with shafts adds more.

a good regear is like $500 in parts for the gear set per axle. Labor is probably up to if not around $375 per axle maybe more to set it up. So you’re looking at potentially around $1k if not maybe a bit more for an entire regeared rear end which I’ve seen on here sometimes.

if you do look at shipping you can potentially freight it secured to a wooden pallet. Years ago there was ForwardAir where for around $200 to ship you would do that at an airport terminal drop off. Because by luck whoever needs it may not just so happen to be nearby.

you have warranty, REM, and 4.56 which are all good choices.
Only question is what the diff is.

while I had mine under the knife I opted to switch from worn weak factory mech LSD to a TrueTrac.

Yeah, I'd agree - that's about what I got for mine.
