    Pandora or Spotify streaming audio

If I'm running audio via Android Auto I get skips or hiccups in the audio every few minutes. It's actually a less than one second pause in the stream, not just a dropout. It happens on both wired and Bluetooth Android Auto. I tried just Bluetooth audio - without Android Auto - and didn't hear any skips, although it was a short test.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know of a fix?

Typically skips will be a codec issue.

Need to change the software involved.

    First, reboot your pocket computer.

Next if that doesn't work, try deleting and re-pairing.

Next, if that doesn't work, try a different model of adapter.

    Thanks @soundman98. I'll try that.
I did confirm Bluetooth audio (no Android Auto) doesn't skip.

I'm up to date on both... Still does it. Thanks though, good advice in general.

When I get these “hiccups” on my iPhone with my Kenwood, it’s because I have the iPhone sending ALAC lossless to the Kenwood, which is only AAC. Adjust that and BOOM! No more “hiccups”.

Having issues w/mine past 2 wks. Has gotten to where sound cuts out completely. (Of course, just paid off and all warranties have since expired.) Started w/periodically making a noise, I’ve never heard. Doesn’t quite sound as tho shorting out, but similar. It’s more of a shrill, digital sound. Happens even if audio turned off.
Had tree rats chew thru some wires for parking and fog lights. Wondering if they’ve jacked up more since then. Neighbor had over $3,000 damage in engine compartment recently. Praying that’s not my case, as don’t have that type of $, being on limited income.
