Sure, I think I can make it south of Provo in a day pretty well. There's a lake with some camping it appears.

 

Provo is a long ways. Like 15 hours of driving for me going thru Pendleton and Boise. Do you have some coordinates for the camping spot you saw?

 

This is in the NF so I think it should be campable... It's just an empty spur up on the mtn that may give a lake view I think.

Looks like I can get a reasonably priced Sunday flight, so I'll meet you guys wherever you're camped on Sunday, likely very early (dark) Monday morning.

I was hoping for a collaboration for planning. I can try to put a loose plan together this weekend at the very least. But I know y'all have lots of tracks too that we could use to piece something together.

 

yeah of course. But be nice to use Gaia to plan it. If you want I can make a folder and share it around as well.

 

If you want to take the lead with Gaia I won't complain, you're more versed in it than me.

 

Time off for April 26th - May 2nd was accepted so I'm good.

Found some ruins today that had some cool kivas. And the whole place was littered with pottery pieces. Supposedly dates back to 900AD, which makes these some of the oldest human made things I've ever held.

 

Those ancient people had good framing skills and pretty good use of hurricane beam ties, their concrete pilon pour leaves a bit to be desired though... that's probably what did them in in the end.

 

It was a point of conversation, is it good they put a roof on the preserve the site? Or is it bad. I was left conflicted as the kivas were incredible to see the craftsmanship.
