Got my new CDL renew license with no medical card in the mail yesterday. It's good till October 2030, renews on my birthday again.

It's a Monday, boss is a miserable p.o.s. today. I almost quit right from the get go.
4 months and 3 weeks to go, lord give me strength and patience. I really have no tolerance for disrespect.

 

Vacation over. Back to the salt mines.

Coworker asked where to get a medical card . I told him where I used to get 1. Then told him he's probably going to get grief from them because of his size.

Had a former coworker show up with a delivery yesterday. He knows my sister and BIL. We had some laughs. I told him I would be coming by to make a pickup soon.

 

Depending on the day between 15-30. Doesn’t sound like a lot but most of hem involve a round trip of at least a mile or more. Also involves going from plant to plant and four of the plants are secure we have to get through security like everyone else. Not a big deal until the guard is dealing with someone who can barely speak English and it backs us up at the gate.

Tracked down my box scraper yesterday .
So Averitt declined to pick it up from the manufacturer, but R&L did. It went from KY to TN to SC then was delivered to Averitt in AVL on Friday but no name or address, phone number nothing they had no clue who to call.
Not blaming R&L but Averitt should have picked it up since my choices for delivery were Averitt in AVL , Averitt in Kingsport,TN or pay extra to get it delivered to the house. Well as @All Visible Hues 14 knows it live close to him but off the beaten path. Did I mention all the signs from the state no tractor trailers at least 4 starting 15 miles away. And the sign a mile from my house that reads no truck turn around past this point. Just saying. I called my pals at averitt and told em I'll be there Friday morning to pick it up.
Wife and dog have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning in Greenville SC for the dog.
Welp off to the river for me again.

 

Good morning driver's. My river rat shantytown days are over because of complaints of dust . We unloaded 3 trailers from 1 of our plants in Canada.
Was ridiculed and laughed at for my suggestion on how to unload because the crap couldn't be unloaded on the dock because of width . So I shut my mouth and stood back a watched. As they tried to use chains and get side ways in the trailer and struggled. I say to the #2 guy ya know we should put a pallet jack in and just pull back and unload the pallet jack and just pull the crates off the back. He said go tell stupervisor. I said nope I tried to make suggestions already. Ultimately guess what we did . I heard another guy say why didn't the just ask you? I said I tried but was laughed at sooo I watched. By the way Averitt is bringing us lunch again today.

Yesterday, fuel filter plugged after 30 days and antifreeze and soot in filter again. Drop trailer, grab another truck, no start, fuel system lost its prime again and it was just in the shop for the same thing. Get it running, hook to trailer that both have to go in shop for repair. Take to shop, pick up truck and trailer that's there for repair, no start, dead batteries. Finally get it started and bring it back to the yard. I changed trucks 3 times in the morning. Now I'm back in the auto cat and it's beating me to death. Truck rides so rough it'll throw your coffee cup out of the cup holder.
4 months 2 weeks to go.....hope I can make it.

 

Well it's Saturday, and heading to Toyota for some maintenance crap I don't want to do and alignment check, gonna get my monies worth on that 5 years of alignment weather it needs it or not.

Thunderstorms came thru here about 5 or 6 this morning, I rolled over and went back to sleep, lol. Off today so I'm just now making coffee.
