It killed me to do it but I placed the order for my 2020's transfer case and differential fluids with Blauparts. $164 for fluids.
    Oh, Good Morning.

I took the T4R in for its 30K service interval. Trusted shop, been going there for years. Bill my mechanic is around my age, I’ll be bummed when he retires .

    Howdy, gang.

It was an interesting morning. I'm supposed to start the new job tomorrow. Last Thursday , through an email from Indeed I had an interview request at a place that I had sent resumes to a few times over the past few years. I thought that it was a phone interview for this morning, but then when I re-opened the email I saw that they wanted an in-person interview this morning. Thankfully it was only about 15 miles away so I got me sheet together and got there just in the nick of time. 2 hrs of interviewing and being shown the fabrication areas of the shops and the office areas where I'd do most of the work. Honestly, the building was beyond depressing- 1960's style industrial shop construction- I-beams covered in corrugated panels. The office area was just as bad- old wall paneling and drop ceilings complete with old water stains everywhere and flooring that a pig wouldn't want to walk on.
They design and manufacture very large air handler systems, like the kind that keep warehouses climate controlled. The engineering manager that was interviewing me told me that the company had just been sold a few months ago and that the new owners want to expand the capability/output of the company, so there're supposed to be moving into a new industrial area closer to my house this summer. Ironically, the same industrial park where I go start the new job tomorrow.

I have no idea if they will offer me the job, so maybe it could work into my favor to see what becomes of an offer. If the van conversion place is as bad as I remembered it being the last time I interviewed there, it could be a good way to just walk away without any concerns.

    Brand new. Coming soon.
Beautiful and sunny here in SC, must not be so in your area. (I pick up my new 4th gen tomorrow so I'm like a kid on Christmas eve.)

nothing that nice. This was the best pic that I could find on the webz, and it still is way nicer than that crap hole of an "office".

I think that the best thing that I heard during the interview is that until 2 weeks ago when the new CEO showed up, the old boss would only advertise jobs on Craigslist. I just about LOL'd.
