Did you figure out why this is happening by chance? I have the same truck, bought it April 2023, I have 22k miles on it now and it has randomly accelerated on its own 3 times in the past 4 days. First two times it started accelerating while driving down some flat back roads after I took my foot off. Today it maxed the rev's as if the transmission was in neutral, but the truck didn't accelerate forward, again, take my foot off the gas exiting the hwy. It's for sure not my floor mat's, they are stock and locked in place. No mods on the truck. ECT engaged, using S5 or S4 in all situations. I'm going to call the dealer on Monday, but was curious if you found out why your truck did this.

My 2019 randomly accelerates about once every 5-8k . 2 different dealers couldn’t help me. But at least it’s documented.

    Any luck with this issue?

    going to try:
    Install Additional Shielding

    • Add EMI shielding to sensitive components, especially the ECM and throttle body wiring harness. Specialized shielding tape or sleeves can help mitigate interference.

I dont know if my truck is accelerating or just mis-matching the gear. But i think what you're describing is what i experience, it happens 2-3 times a year. It usually happens below 10mph going from stop sign to stop sign, RPMs jump drastically with normal throttle engagement, duration a second and 1/2. I think its the wireless throttle causing the issue but its not a big worry for me

I've got a 2019 with almost the same miles and never had that happen but it's a manual. Also, the MAF is the Mass Air "Flow" (not Filter) sensor and sits right after the air filter and I'm not seeing how a dorked MAF sensor can cause the accelerator to activate because I thought it only affected the lean/rich mixture, but I'm not an expert...

At least I can remind folks that use a K&N or other brand of "lifetime" air filter that you shouldn't use too much spray oil after cleaning it because the excess *will* coat your MAF sensor and cause problems.

Haven’t had the issue recently. But to be clear:
    -Factory floor mats
-Truck would go from 1.5k RPM to rev limiter

Mine does this about once a year as well. It will hang at 6k for about a second and then come back to the next gear. I spoke to my tuner about it and he said that OTT and KDMaxx aren't able to log this and shouldn't be attributing to the uncommanded acceleration. I didn't even bother with Toyota as I wasn't able to duplicate it. I was hoping it would blow up my engine while still under warranty but that didn't happen. Luckily it doesn't happen when in gear or Toyota would have a huge lawsuit on their hands!
