    American Flags.....

Is there a good / better brand than the rest? I like to keep one flying outside my home but you know what the AZ sun and then the wind does to them.

The cheapo-chinese ones last a few weeks, maybe a month. I've bought some pretty pricey made in the USA ones that were meant to be a buy once, cry once strategy and they do last longer and look nicer (less fading) but I just noticed my last really good, high quality American Flag is fraying at the ends. I'm tired of replacing them so often. Like every 3 months.

Does anyone have a good vendor / manufacturer of American (and Arizona) flags? Maybe a 6 month flag? Or is this just normal and these flags are just consumables because of the time they spend in the harsh environment?

Allegiance, Annin, Valley Forge, Eder are all good brands...

Chinesium flags, or any not made in the USA, are sacrilege and treasonous

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
This. I haven't really found a specific brand that I chase, but I make sure to pay the extra cash to get something that will last.

On number 3 in 2.5 years at this house, so doing... okay. Still have one in the back of the truck that I need to retire, once I get out and start a fire in the woods.

Anybody have experience with 2nd gen tundra transfer case failures? My buddy has a 2nd gen 5.7 on 37s and hes being told his transfer case failed. I see the actuator is relatively prone to failure and you have to pull and crack the case to replace it. Any insight would be helpful. He has some factory warranty still left and an aftermarket extended warranty and theyve both denied coverage because hes lifted/big tired.

I know mine is a pain to get to engage. I have to be in park for it to work. I believe that it's the actuator on the diff. Tell him to try that. I know i had to engage it a few times for it to work normally. Made a loud chunk the first time when it finally disengaged when I shut the truck off.

Took the staccato XC out to the desert, set up my steel target, and burned through 250 rounds with it as it came straight out of the box. No RDS or light on it yet.

    Hoo boy, it is sweet!

If you pick it up and think you're just magically going to start drilling targets and it has 0 recoil you're going to be disappointed. 4300 bucks buys you a hell of a lot, but no amount of money is going to let you turn your brain off and just be a John Wick. That said, I was rapidly learning to pick up the pace on the cadence of fire and remaining accurate, grinning like a total idiot the whole time.

As far as recoil impulse goes, strictly the way the muzzle moves and the slide pushes you back, it's only a marginal increase over something like my comped P320- which I think says more about how good comped striker fired guns have gotten more than anything.
Where it really shines is... well, everywhere. The trigger is amazing- it's predictable, light, has a solid tactile reset and very little take up, with no creep to speak of. Absolute heaven. I actually found myself having to slow down to break the habit the sig gave with its weak reset- I kind of blew past the XC's reset a number of times and had basically lifted my finger clean off the trigger! The slide and every other control runs so smooth, the only hiccup I had was user error from the smaller 1911 style mag release leading to a goofy flailing reload on my part trying to shake out a mag that wasn't actually released yet.

I am very happy with it and I can't wait to get more time on it (and a few tweaks like a straight trigger)!

Went unintentionally mudding up by bloody basin, lesson learned. I was going to wait until today to clean off the truck but glad I didn't. It took me 20 minutes of just pressure washing and there's still clay mud stuck to my truck. That shit hardened like concrete.

One day I will step up to a Staccato. I broke in a new Canik TTI on Saturday and was extremely impressed by the recoil management with a comped pistol.

Anyone know of a good alignment shop in the central phx area? Willing to travel a bit if needed. But I went to Big O Tires down the street and they said since my truck had a lift they couldn’t do it.

If you can think of the one on Cave Creek let me know. I'll need one soon and don't want to drive all the way to my usual place in Tempe.

I wish I had gotten pictures. I can pull dash cam footage. It was that red clay mud, super thick. I was prepared to get stuck haha
