Does anyone know what this is?

Was whipping the bay down few days ago, funny I didn't notice it when installing the volant intake. Hangs in the back P.S. of engine.

Grey rectangular plug.

Your referring to the part I have circled?
If so that's the ignition noise suppressor, I would need to look on mine where it belongs. I can't remember if it's bolted to something or just taped to the harness.

 

Okay thank you. What if I unplug it?

 

I wouldn't recommend running the truck with it unplugged, it suppresses voltage spikes from the ignition coils to protect the electronics and filter out ignition noise that would otherwise be heard on the radio.
