Sounds like it’s leaking into the booster and sucking the fluid in by vacuum to the engine!

I’ve been considering a sway bar, what option did you end up with?

Interesting. I'll have to look into this.
I don't have huge tires, but my truck is a giant fat ass and stopping it sucks.

This is probably one of the most difficult task, lol. Extremely stressful because there’s no information regarding a front sway bar for a SA/3-link Tacoma and no such “kit” on the market. A tough package to pack with everything there and in the way. Plus, all the moving parts that must be considered. After numerous email between TK1 and RockJock, I was left with more questions than I started. Long story short, I went with TK1 and had numerous parts exchanges and months later, came up with a workable solution for my truck between life, work, and family.

This time around, I made the front sway removable (bolt on) with .250” brackets to the front bumper mount crossmember instead of welding the brackets on like I did to the rear.

Multiple pieces cut for test fitting, measured for clearance numerous times before I was satisfied. Clears lock to lock (pitman arm and tire) by .50” or so and is +1” away from CO.

    Spec -
    Brand: TK1 KOH ULTRA 4
    Bar: 43.50
    Tube: 40.75”
End link: aluminum 14-15” (would be better with 15-16” for my setup)
    Arm: 20”
    Splined block: offset

Ask questions if you have them. More than happy to assist.

I have a RockJock 45” bar and a modified 20” offset arm for the rear. The truck drove well and has good road manner. But after adding the front sway, it made the truck feel stock. Night and day difference.

I need to weigh my truck but I would say it’s every bit north of 5500lbs with a full size matching spare, a full tank of gas, and myself inside. 1 tire w/ beadlock weighs ~140lbs each, 700lbs in just wheels/tires.

3G4R worked well even after numerous research stating otherwise. Readily available compared to pre00 w/ dual diaphragm & 1” MC. The 4R MC looks weird (like dual tube) but is considered a 1”. I use the 4R setup around for almost a year without issue. Brakes well, better then the factory single diaphragm w/ 15/16” MC found on 01-04.

*modification has to be made to both 4R and pre00 push rod to make it function along with reconfiguration of the push pedal and springs/parts*

The 1t T100 MC is massive compared to the 15/16” & 1” Tacoma. But I ended up returning it. Currently running a 1999 Tacoma with dual diaphragm booster & 1” MC. Like I said, I can lock both 40 & 42 tires. That was pretty impressive.

Impressive to fit it with the steering box outside the frame. What’s your WMS width?

Ordered 68 but once assembled, it’s 68.75 mounting to mounting or something like that (so I considered it 69). Definitely challenging with all the moving and or fixed parts protruding outside the frame, and the consideration of tires turning ratio. The hardest part is tube placement and tube length to figure out arm length. Numerous exchanges were made and many mounting location were crossed off the list. Ended up with new beadlock and tires. Went with 3.50BS from 4.00BS which provided slightly more room. Pictures were taken with 4.00 BS Raceline Monster.

I weighed my truck a few years ago with me plus food, beer and 8 gallons of water and both gas tanks full it was 5870#.

    I’m sure it’s heavier now.

Can’t replace it if you can’t pull it off to began with, talk about a tight fit… Fab guy didn’t think about that when he designed the mount apparently.

    Holy cow

Oof. If that's part of the shock tower, I wouldn't doubt it's been hitting the diaphragm as the cab moves around too
