What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

For $20 could have done these with the Plasticolor ones. That's what I wound up doing about 5 years ago.

 

Yeah I am thinking going for the JBA ones. Would be nice if someone would post in the classifieds with a used set hehe

I am coming to the conclusion the first owner of my truck smoked like a chimney and it is in the air vents. What is a good product to flush the air vents of the crap?

 

You need an ozone machine. They're cheap on Amazon. Follow that up with some ozium air spray.

Speaking of game changers. Added 1"-1.5" adjustable seat risers. Best mod yet. My wife loves the 1.5" at the passenger side. I had to stick with 1" cuz skater thighs...

 

I agree. I got the $20 eBay ones and they are a game changer.

 

Yeah these were like $40 a set. Beefy as heck. Some structural questions were raised when I saw the rear holes for the set screws but, they are burly steel so I doubt they will go anywhere playing in the dirt or in an accident. I ordered all TI hardware to lighten the mess up a bit. Coming from Recaro buckets to Tacoma seats was off putting to say the least. Then my back started getting wonky on long trips. Raising the legs was EVERYTHING.

The smell doesn’t come just from the vents, it comes from -everything- plastic in the truck.

Just let’r roll gently into the water. It’s really the only way.

I got the impression that it was too much, as in too often...glad I'm not a mod, I could put him on ignore.

 

Probably volume over severity, true. I grew a thicker skin for his comments, but I understand if others did not want to adjust.

 

He may have been warned more than once...twice on his behavior...who knows.

I had good interactions with him.

Update:
Well, I have to say that I am liking the all LED lights on the rear of the truck now, just looks cleaner to me anyway.. I also have the glare blockers ready to install, but I do not think I am going to need them, just hadn't affected the camera that I can tell yet... I am going to hang on to them for awhile though, my luck I have cheap LED tag lights and when they go out (if they do) then the new ones will be much brighter and I will need them then... Time will tell...

Now just waiting on my grill, already have the garnish for it...
