Got the 3.0’s in and cycled. Just gotta fully weld the shock mounts and put the leaf packs back together.

1" forward is a 2" bigger tire at the firewall. Helps a lot. No tubbing for 35s on a reasonable offset. But one of the biggest differences is around 2" more clearance underneath compared to almost any typical bolt on skid.

I'd say one of the biggest reasons to go with the LS is just how small they are for the power, plus the rest, limitless aftermarket support and super easy to work on.

Just look at this thing tucked in there...

Plus a rear suspension shot to keep it long travel

I think the pivot kit is my next big buy.
Wicked creations claims that their LT kit pushes 2" forward, but I will definitely say it does not. Even though I already tubbed for 38s I want to push my front wheels forward

Once the 2UR swap started crossing into the 30k mark for engine/trans that was it for me. A big DOHC engine I would have to shoehorn and virtually no support as well. So.

    LS/Sequential/9”

The lack of power thing comes from running a monster auto trans. You’re losing 30%+ before it even hits the driveshaft. Then you have the loss from axles, tires etc.

The big 1,000hp+ TT guys are only putting down 4-600 at the back tires if they are through an auto.

For me personally, our “prerunning” is a mix between rally and prerunning. It’s far more beneficial for me to stay manual based gear box and have the ability to control my RPM’s for corners more easily.

    On today’s episode……

depowering the factory rack. But keeping the orbital valve alive to power a ram.

Think slide rack. But way cooler.

This isn’t the ram I will be using, just stole it off a project I have in the shop to visualize things a bit.

T56 Magnum behind a nice big power LSwhatever would be the ticket for most I feel. None of the downsides of a sequential box, more streetable too. Grannas Racing makes the T56 kits so easy for almost any car out there now a days.

DRT has a subframe they built that should be much stronger than the factory junk. Cut the factory stuff out, melt theirs in. Won't rip apart like the factory stuff.

I would just build my own if it becomes a problem. But here to say, I have yet to see someone rip the front crossmember out. Especially with the JD pivots in the picture.

Ive been thinking about solving the problem this way for a while. If you dont mind me asking, why are you moving away from swingset? Looks like a sweet setup.

Swingset is baller as fuck if you want fast/powerful steering for a prerunner. Downside is, it’s expensive as hell to build. And extremely labor intensive.

This is more of an experiment my wife approved of last night for her truck. There’s about a 0% chance of it not working. And we will be into it entirely for under a grand. Not including labor, of course.

So power of full hydro, no seals to fail in the factory rack and retained mechanical link.

At what point do we just make a TT rack fit in there? Lol. I’ll be looking into that at some point.

Actually have it all drawn up for a 2wd truck. Did that when I designed my crossmember. 4wd it’s not happening.

Truthfully though, I’m anxious to see what this setup is going to do. Have a few other things happening with this. Provided we don’t die, it should be pretty dang cool!

    Whole lotta stuff
The 2UR is sweet, but what about the 3UR from the tundra? Same story? I know output is so-so, but like the 1gr, there's a lot of supercharger support for it. If CA drops smog (big if), I might start messing around with the 1gr more since spare blocks for it are relatively cheap.

ye she chunky. Feels so slow lol

2UR is a higher base output, and also has supercharger support now which is cool. And I think they sound better.
