Im getting to be less and less of fan of store bought. What also helps is getting organic flour.

I need to suck it up and get a 25# bag of bread flour
For now I use the Pillsbury that walmart carries - still way better than anything I could buy..
And I haven't gotten a frozen pizza in at least 5yr

We have been using target brand organic all purpose ant it’s the best we have fired so far, other than some higher protein blends. I don’t recall maybe McArthur? We also have a 5 minute yeast bread that we commonly use for focaccia and occasionally a loaf.

You certainly can hear the difference. You also get different textures based on how you cut and fold it before it goes into the oven. Eventually I’d like to do more scientific analysis on it to find out what we like and what are the differences in preparation. I once did that to come up with my most consistent hard boiled egg recipe when I had chickens.

Is that the recipe I gave you, before you made it way better with all the goodies you added?

    Yup

But all I added were chives and cheddar (there are also a few plain on the tray)

Everything is better with chives and cheddar though

Knowing me I'd mess it up and dump too much cheese

I shredded WAY more cheese than I needed so I'm with you on that part!
So I kinda found a way around adding too much cheese

I wanted to make [and freeze] both plain and the cheddar/chive
I made the dough and as soon as it came together into a ball, I weighed/divided it into the ratio I wanted
    The plain I just laminated
The cheddar chive, I added the cheddar and chive in between the lamination layers - it's hard to add too much this way because as you laminate the dough, you can only add so much + as you keep rolling, it becomes really clear that you got enough

I only baked like 3 of them, the rest are in the freezer
I also spiked the buttermilk with a 1/4 tsp or so of lemon juice - helped with the rising
