Yeah that would work. But now the wife is saying she might want a used GX 460 instead of spending all that money on a new T4R. I said I suppose that would be alright…..

There would definitely be a second build thread in my future if we wind up with a GX460

While looking at Camrys, I’m considering Ocean Gem, heavy metal and underground

 

White... sounds stupid, but it's the easiest to keep and look clean. My 2021 Tacoma was white and looks good even dirty. Then I traded it for the '22 Manual in magnetic gray metallic. Now of course my Underground '24. Think I'm going with silver or white next truck...

Everest green was the color she really wanted. Almost jumped on a blue sport. For the amount of money they cost, figured we should wait for more to hit the lots and get what we wanted. Surprised to find the exact one we wanted 3hrs away. If you guys wait it out, they might be more willing to haggle the non hybrids. They are selling like hot cakes now because of the low supply.

 

That’s a good point. We were definitely only looking at the non hybrids because of how much more expensive the hybrids are. Plus all the other things that could go wrong with a first year hybrid.

Buy a 22 or 23. Up until 21 had no CarPlay or android auto.

 

lol that’s exactly when and why I bought my truck in black. Didn’t really want black although I like the color, I knew it was hard to keep clean. That was the only thing on the lot though and it had the exact options I wanted and nothing more.

As for the GX460…i appreciate the advice! The 22’s and 23’s are so close in price to the new 4 runners (at least the difference in price isn’t big enough for it to really make a difference) that we will probably buy one a few years older than that and I’ll just switch out the head unit.

Seems to be a ton of aftermarket support for the GX’s.

 

Yeah call me old school, but I don’t trust the hybrids yet. Everyone says “Toyota has been doing hybrids for a very long time” but still not convinced on a hybrid truck or suv

 

The regular 2.4T has plenty of power for me, I can only imagine what the initial "oomph" the hybrid would give. It's just such a weird setup to me right now. I'm sure eventually everything will be forced to it. Still better than all electric at this point. Having said that my 37 mile round trip commute would be perfect for a Tesla. Although it doesn't matter to me, there's a certain stigma right now on those sooo yea no

Exactly how I feel. I mean, if I could have a 4 runner that got like 50mpg….maybe I’d swing for the hybrid. But they don’t even make that much of a difference lol

Anyone have a structural engineer they recommend?

Our chimney has shown evidence of pulling away from the house. It’s not much and I think it’s been like this since we’ve moved in. I had it swept and they said something, then someone out to quote sealing it to the house for failing caulk and they said something too.

 

The ARK micro flares showed up today. Good quality, just big enough to keep things coming off the edge of the tire away from the body. Don't think they'd too much for wheels/tires with more poke than the wheels/tires I've got. I want to get something to fill the recess behind them at the screw positions like anodized fender washers or similar plastic material to calm my OCD over the way the plastic pulls in to the recess when you tighten the screws.
