Thanks, he is alright, only broke his collar bone (plate and screws), knee (plate and screws) and ankle (screws), 5 staples in the back of his head, multiple cuts, blood everywhere, lost a lot of blood and has a shit ton of bruises... single car crash and no passengers... He is already home and recovering good...Car is nothing more than scrap metal now... Car vs the end of a concrete traffic barrier, car basically wrapped around it and the barrier won...

I have a dd 30”. Not as bright as the old Baja 30” I had. Nowadays I’m lusting for the Baja s8 30 with the backlight. But I would have to swap out the lens with factory orange ones Baja makes.

Installed a front cam sometime back, swapped out my winter set, detailed the chassis, oil change, I leave the cheap skids off since I change oil (42k) more than I wheel rough stuff! Easier to clean. Got paid to work on a co-workers 2005 2nd gen, It’s so much nicer to do with air tools and a concrete floor vs. my gravel drive and a crap jack! Installed Bilstein 5100’s /885’s more than a couple times to get the settings right, added his 1.25” rear blocks and it did nothing with the front on the top clip ‍♂️, and now had the “lean”, next working day I had a set off rear leaves off a 2023 Pro which were a tad longer and the overload spring was 2” longer as well vs. his worn 2005 Sports pack, I installed them and got it level to the 1st clip on the front. Getting pretty quick at dropping those struts out with no spring compressor! Alignment and 275/17’s and he’s done. He’s happy! We all ate steak that night, I’m happy

 

Added a couple additional anti-theft measures to the truck this week bringing the total to 4 layers of security. Obviously nothing is totally full-proof but I'll take the peace of mind.

Also ordered a one piece tonneau from Realtruck- Have always been a fan of the one piece covers since my dad had one on his F-150s. Looking forward to getting that on and the 100% waterproof coverage in the bed.

Brake job on the front. Did I need slotted/dotted rotors, prob not. But I did want ceramic pads and needed to repaint my calipers so.. I think it looks cool. Thank God for that bolt trick to get the rotors off. Mine were seized on there HARD!

 

My aluminum extrusion showed up today so I finally finished building my custom bed cross bar, still needs paint, but that's for a warmer day.

I made the side plates out of 3/16 steel that I bent using my 12t press and a 12" brake, press brakes are so awesome.
So after my plates were bent and mounted to the bed I measured and ordered a 2"x4" extrusion from Tnutz. I was going to go 50" but the shipping was ridiculous so I did 47.5" for cheaper shipping. Of course I didn't realize shipping was so expensive until after I had them all bent perfectly, so I had to bend them again to close the gap down to under 48".

Now I just need to make a bracket to mount my pressurized water tank to the top of it and then mount my hi-lift and shovel on the sides.

Not to bad for less than $100 in parts, I didn't want a premade one because I wanted it mounted higher than what anyone else offers.
