    Good morning everybody :hattip:

Michael I hope the winds have died down for you and you have no damage.

Rusty is your power still off?

It is a Monday, I opened my water bill yesterday to find a $400 water usage charge. I haven’t filled up multiple swimming pools and I don’t have a mud puddle in my yard. About to call the water company to have someone come out and check their “smart meter”.

Let’s all try to have a decent Monday

    $400!

Something isn't right - or you & Mrs Pinger are taking some very luxurious showers.

Yes, the power is still off, I'm going to meet Mrs Green for a real dinner out - not our usual Sam's Club.

    Good evening guys.

I got my water leak repaired, it was in the supply line that runs from my house to the shop. It looks like a crack formed at a pipe junction and the pressure water cut the PVC coupling. How I didn’t have a muddy mess in the middle of my back yard is beyond me. 10k gallons of water just soaked into the ground and disappeared.

Not that I recommend anyone else go through this but it was pretty cool to see the leak detection guy use his high tech diving rod to find the leak. It’s basically a super sensitive stethoscope with a metal probe that he touches to the copper water pipes as they come out of the wall. He can hear any water flow within the plumbing. I was really happy when he checked the house and shop and said it’s not in the slab plumbing in either location. For the PVC supply lines in the yard he used a different probe that he pushed into the ground as he walked the pipe run. He had stuck a marking flag in the ground in the back yard where he thought he heard something. He then connected an air tank to one of the outside hose bibs and injected air into the lines. He went back to the flagged area and zeroed in on the sound. The leak was right under where he put the flag.

I hope it’s been a good week for you guys.

I’m a few hours early but I’ll go ahead and beat Rusty to it and say have a great Fanny Friday!

Good morning guys :hattip: I’m throwing some gear in the truck and going to a local state park for some ham radio fun with some club guys. They are camping for the weekend but I have a prior commitment for in the morning so I’ll come home tonight. I will be heading back up tomorrow afternoon and getting a camping night in.

    Have a great weekend!
