With a lift, a plasma cutter, and a few knowledgable wrench-turners, that work will fly by.

Don't schedule around me, but if the day works out I'd be tempted to come and hang out with y'all.

    this is what I’m hoping.

And I’m a huge pay it forward guy - anything I can do to help on anyone else’s truck - or anything really - I’d be more than happy to.

I can do basic mechanics but I also know just enough to get me in trouble.

And no matter how many YouTube videos I have saved that shows exactly what to do - I have no doubt that I’d get myself into a jam if let alone to my own devices.

Yeah, I could do that whole list of parts with just hand tools in a tiny garage in a day with no help… just like I did on my 2003 in a tiny 1926 garage that only had 1’ of space around the truck to walk around.

We’ll give you the confidence to bust your knuckles and make sure it gets installed correctly and safely.

I don’t think your truck will require a torch on anything, it’s pretty clean.

I did my leaf springs solo and have done two front ends with help. it's very achievable.

If you have the time, a junkyard visit can get you some great practice dismantling a front end.

If this ends up happening, I can help with this:
    New coilovers
    New UCAs
    New LCAs

Just did my whole front end solo over a day and a half. With more hands it will go by fast. My biggest slowdown was not having the right blades to cut the old LCA's out.

I have a lot of metal blades for my Sawzall.

In your experience, should I just get new cam alignment bolts/hardware?

I did it with Brett and his buddy about 12 years ago. That was the last time I have any experience with it.

The carbide blades are the ones you want. I burnt through a dozen "metal" blades one one side. Finally got the thick metal carbide blades and cut the other side out in 5 mins.

I also have some of the hardware. If you need it. The bolts get pricey fast.

Grab some clean cams at the junkyard while you're getting your practice in, they're a lot cheaper there :)

KPO alignment octagons come with new hardware and are like $80… plus no risk of knocking the alignment out

some of mine were seized/cut but I probably have at least one to add to the set below:

Seconded that carbide blade! i just went through the same issue. worn out all my on-hand blades before going to the store and buying that exact one. Went through two seized bolts np.

Actually, I bought the 6" and the longer one. The longer one worked better though, due to lack of room to maneuver.

I'm moving back to CO in a few months. Would be down to help with a garage day.

Ok then, this is what I install. These are not the vendors I use though.

I love installing these. Easy money when it comes to ADA, they gotta have it.

These are so people don't have to close the door, they can just go about their day, oblivious to what is happening around them.

and that's just a fraction of what a door whore does on any given day.
Here is a door within a door for the food bank, did that from scratch. Has a shelf on the inside too.

Brick shithouse door, you guys have seen plenty of these.

Secured ball sack storage for the YAC.

I can't find the pics of the industrial sliding doors I used to make, they required a crane to set them in place. That may actually be on legit film.

    Found them.
Door and frame with a side light for the PD.

Rawhide Installation. New frame is set in this pic.

Done. Those are 6.0 x 8.0 doors. It's no wonder I ripped my shit apart over the years. Caulk job looked pretty bad on that one, I think the shit had been frozen.

Industrial sliding doors, I just made a dust cover for the rail.

This big bastard. Back when I could fit shit in the garage.

The plywood against the wall was another rail road layout. That one sadly ended up in the landfill.

Hangers. This was a simple box rail slider.

I drilled and installed every one of those, 9 stories up, no elevator, fml.

Back when little red was earning her keep.

    Before.

Big hook. Those things are expensive by the hour.

I had it powdered coated, they chose the color, and the crane scratched it.

After. Really gotta watch that first step.
