I've recently installed SS3 Amber fog lights and need a harness for the backlight. My truck does have factory oem LED headlights. Someone on here has a business building harnesses, but I've lost the thread.

I might be stupid but what’s the difference between parking lights and DRL lol. I’ve got halogens on my truck.

The DRL is the first setting past OFF on your stalk switch. It is when the “L” shaped light is lit up full brightness. The next click is parking lights. The “L” shaped light is still lit up full brightness for the, but now tour side marker lights and rear taillights are also lit up, in addition to the dash lights. Then the next click will be low beams. When the low beams are on, the DRL is technically off, but you’ll see the “L” still on, just dim. That help?

So what is the ideal switching config for the DRL, fogs, and fog backlights?

Seems like one would want the DRL on whenever IGN is on unless the halogens are on. The fog backlights should be on whenever IGN is on but off if fogs are on. And the fogs are on whenever IGN is on and the fog light stalk switch is on. Sounds like a couple waterproof relays, a wire to IGN, and knowing what connectors to use to avoid cutting any factory wires. @Puppypunter what would this harness cost (ball park guesstimate)? I have DD elites with backlights on a '23 with halogens and am interested.

They are kind of both but usually are referred to as DRL. When the DRL and parking lights are turned on, they are driven by the DRL circuit. When the low beam is turned on, they are driven by the parking light circuit (at 50% brightness).
