Finally addressing the bison tabs that i wasn’t happy with at the time of install.

Found its kind of interesting that both aftermarket cam delete options (that I’m aware of) are both a full 2mm smaller than the OEM

    OEM

    Bison

    Taco tabs
    upload_2025-3-18_19-13-18.jpg

These are for the front LCA mount, the rear is similar.

so the Front LCA is in direct relation to your tie rods so if they move within the 2mm of the slop it will knock your toe out

Cam pulled all the way out within setting #4

    Toe measurement

Cam pushed all the way in on setting #4

    Toe measurement
    upload_2025-3-18_19-20-56.jpg

TMR toe plate takes the measurement 10” from centre

so 1/16 of measured movement is about .36° of toe movement on one side

I had an issue with my steering being knocked back and forth on a road trip so a heads up to anyone else with these kits that your alignment can still be knocked out with these kits.

It was happening to me too. Did the total chaos.cam gussets and 333 fab cam replacement and never had a problem ever since.

Oh shit, i actually never seen that kit.
I was in the process of making my own cams that actually almost exactly that kit lol.

any chance you can get a measurement across the flats to see how far off they are from OEM?

If they're actually accurate I might just buy that kit instead of making my own.
But by the time i get that kit here it might end up being cheaper lol

    *edit*
LOL i read a little further down, looks like I’m SOL

    • Can be used with Stock cam tabs, Total Chaos or All-Pro Cam Tab Gussets (will not work with Marlin Crawler).

hear is a pic of before times and another of the 333 fab cam tabs. as you can see they all need special attension when welding them up. you have to squeeze them togeather then weld them up so there a tight fit.

Doesn't look egregious. You can stick a GoPro pointed at the carrier bearing while you drive at speeds where vibration occurs.

@Norilsk I know you have had some Yokohama tires.

I am being somewhat forced to buy Yokohama tires for the rig.

Looking for better gas mileage and quieter than my old Cooper ST Maxx. Yet I can't see putting straight highway shoes on the rig.

    Size: LT265/70R17

Are the Geolandar-X-AT's my best option?

    https://www.yokohama.ca/en/tires/geolandar-x-at

    Or the Geolandar AT-G015?

    https://www.yokohama.ca/en/tires/geolandar-at-g015

Will be pulling a trailer all summer with em.

Really I don't want highway tires for the simple fact you get stuck on grass with them. I ain't getting my shit stuck in a muddy parking lot with my trailer on.

I'd love some input from you guys.

    o_O

I am leaning towards the G015's right now

    I have Falken Wildpeaks AT4W...great A/T.
pretty quiet as well. They are LTs...they are kinda heavy for a 33.
I have heard good things about Yokohama too

Ive had about 4 seasons now on Firestone Destination XT 255/75/17. They have worn great and have been good overall. Decently quiet as well; had a bit more new but quieted out once they wore in a bit. Gas mileage impact (after tire size correction) has been very minimal with these over OE all seasons.

I would go with G015s, I liked them in 315 size back then, didn’t get me stuck anywhere, but I also had bigger rolling resistance… They are quiet, fuel hit was minimal and they last veryyyyy long time

If I don’t find 17 wheels (need them for 37s) for my LX anytime soon I will likely be getting another set of them in 315 size on the 16 wheels I have.

Exactly what I remember you saying, you really liked em.

Ordered. $235 per tire + tax

    Check build thread!
Both are great options. I think the G015 is more suitable for your use. More road biased.

Yokohamas are sneakily the best overall tire manufacturer out there right now. If there's a customer with no budget constraints, I sell em Yokohama, because I know they'll be happy and I have a extremely low chance of needing to do warranty work for them.

My dad is on his 6th set over about 700k km in 20 years. Swears by them. I think you'll be really happy with em

When the time comes, you can abuse the G015s like @Norilsk did in his past life:

@MaverickT883 I'm looking to buy a set of 33"x10.5" R15, either Toyo MT, General Grabber X3, or GoodYear MTR. Not brand loyal, price is my biggest attraction. What's your best price tax in on a set of 4.
    Feel free to PM.
    Thaaaanks

Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted anything here. My front shocks are finally shot, and I’m going to replace them with 5100’s (Fox 2.0’s are supposed to be rebuildable, but I couldn’t find a shop to do it).

Those of you who have done this already, did you rent a spring compressor, or take them to a shop to assemble? The last time I did this I replaced the entire coilover so no spring compressor and assembly required. Are rental spring compressors strong enough for our springs (I'll be using my old stock springs)?

I’ll be replacing my SPC ball joints at the same time.
