I know this has been posted before, but I haven't found anything that permanently fixes this issue.

I just got home from a long 2000-mile road trip in my 2014 PreRunner Double Cab Taco and the crosswind in Illinois and Indiana was insane. About 65-80 mph the passenger side window had an almost constant loud howl which the only way I could reduce the noise was by cracking the window slightly, trading the howl for the loud rush of air through the opening. In a desperate attempt to fix it, I closed the window fully and then covered the window/door seam with duct tape, inside and out.

Obviously, I can't drive around with tape all over the door and window, and I plan on keeping this truck for a loooonnng time and making a lot more long road trips with it.

Has anybody actually fixed this so there is NO window noise in a crosswind? And if so, how did you fix it/ I'll be eternally grateful to anyone that can help me resolve this PITA.Window leak.jpg Window leak inside.jpg

New to the Tacoma World but have been on the Lexus form for many years... I'm new to Tacoma's but just purchased 2015 SR5 Base. I'm having the same issue with the wind noise but just yesterday, researched and found the Toyota TSB on the "Wind (Reed/Buzz) Noise From Front Doors - Cross Wind Conditions". Toyota TSB# T-SB-0170-16.
I also looked for YouTube videos and there are a couple that show exactly how to install according to the TSB. Good Luck!!

I assume replacing these quieted the noise? On the official Toyota parts page, Toyota says: Over time, it can become worn, causing it to lose its seal, allowing water and air to enter the vehicle. This can lead to discomfort, increased road noise, and can even potentially cause damage to the vehicle's interior.
I guess that makes sense, since this problem only started a couple of years ago and has become almost unbearable.
    Again, thanks for any help

I had this issue when I first bought my truck and solved it by running some irrigation tubing through the window seals to make them thicken up a bit. Also did this on the seal that runs along the leading edge of the hood, this fixed all my highway wind whistles and kazoo noises.
